Always a decent time
As an Over the road truck driver I have ate sushi here and there and everywhere.. Very nice & new establishment! I had the “Top secret roll” “Pizza roll” and the “cherry blossom” WOW the tuna and salmon was something special!! By far the freshest tasting sushi I’ve ever had in all my years of enjoying sushi! Highly recommend and that doesn’t come lightly!
Went for a birthday celebration and the food and cooking show was excellent! Highly recommended!!!
This is our go-to spot for birthday and anniversaries. They are so patient and friendly. The first time we went was with a toddler and they were so kind about her learning how to behave in a restaurant. The food is incredible and in my opinion beats out Sakura.
Great experience
First timer, drove from Delaware. Food was amazing and the espresso martini was awesome.
Cute place with friendly staff but the sushi was horrible. I threw up 2.5 pieces in.
We loved the food, it was our first time going and we will definitely return. My husband had sushi and I ordered the chicken and shrimp hibachi, both were delicious! The service was great. My only suggestion would be to improve on the ambiance of the restaurant. It’s not very inviting. The lighting is super bright. Maybe dim the spot lights, add some soft lamps or candles to the tables. Give it more of a lounge feel.

Recommended dishes: Hibachi Chicken and Steak
The fried rice is bland, has barely any veggies and way over priced. The chicken is bland and dry as well. If you’re craving hibachi I’d make the trip to Sakura in Annapolis, their food is way better AND the fried rice is cheaper.

Good food, prepared at your table around a flat grill. The cook entertains and is affable. Sushi is good, as are the menu offerings. Not inexpensive, but a lot of food, and no rush to have the customers leave.
Parking: Parking right in front of restaurant. Very available. We went on a Sunday afternoon. Parking on Friday or Saturday evenings may present a different story. You would be competing with other restaurant in the same area.
Wheelchair accessibility: Very accommodating for the wheelchair.

YOU MUST READ THIS: This place is by far the best hibachi steakhouse I have EVER been to. A good way to judge a place is to look at the salad dressing. Theirs is absolutely mind-blowing.
SECONDLY: THE SUSHI IS THE BEST ON KENT ISLAND BY FAR!
YOU MUST TRY THIS PLACE OUT... especially with the family or for a date night.
Kid-friendliness: Super kid friendly. Dinner and a show!
Wheelchair accessibility: Fully ADA compliant

I don’t usually review unless it’s a great experience, especially a small business, but today I decided it was time. I’ll try any thing 3 times before it’s a no-go. Tokyo Bay only has 2 strikes and it won’t get a 3rd try. This most recent visit, we walked in and immediately scrunched our noses. It smelled horrible. Like sewer and fish. It wasn’t just a bad smell, is was bad and STRONG. Like the air was thick. One of the kids we came with covered his nose when he hit the first set of doors, then ended up throwing up from it. Then, we all chipped in to clean it up, and the towels were black from how dirty the floors were. That might be where the smell came from. Filthy carpeted fish-floors. We couldn’t stay and eat because of the smell, and we’re all pushovers that will eat anywhere. But not there. Not anymore. The First experience the food was so incredibly bland. The hot things were lukewarm, the cold things were also lukewarm, the sauce that came with the hibachi was… confusing? I dont know what it was supposed to be but that’s usually the best part. Service was slow and the server was distracted with her coworkers but not unkind. We weren’t in a rush so that was fine. But the low quality food and high prices was a turn-off. But i thought maybe I’d give it a second chance since it was a newer place when we first went. But seems like it never got better based on the smell and the other reviews.
