Based on reviews, Today's Seafood & Crabs - BRANCH AVE offers a mix of experiences. The hush puppies are to die for, with a taste of corn, though the recipe recently changed drastically. The fish, including trout extra crispy platter and fresh shrimp, is often good. Service is excellent, and the restaurant has an older diner feel and is clean. However, some visits were disappointing. One order of 3 pc platter had 5 pieces of fish. The crab cakes displayed on the wall are not what customers get; one crab cake was all filler with very little crab meat. Another order of 1/2 dz. female and 1/2 dz. males with large shrimp had mushy shrimp and light, mushy crabs. A separate visit had old, disgusting fish and chicken with horrible wedges. A crab cake sandwich had way too much shell pieces. Food tastes pretty fresh regarding the seafood, but some orders need better preparation before sending out.
