i've been here and it's either a front for foreign money, or maybe an egoist passion project? the dough was spongy and undercooked.
33 reviews in 3 years?! not sure they actually serve pizza at this rate. when i went it seemed like the owner had some connection to italy perhaps, maybe?!, but had an elon musk complex meaning he never had cooked much in his life.
go to roscoe's, timber, nick's (new), or pizzaria paradiso. or 100 people go here and leave a good review, then i'll try again. I'm sensing this is a place gordon ramsey gors, two months before closing.

Worst pizza ever! First , and last, time eating Carpe Diem pizza. We ordered through Grubhub, with special delivery instructions. The instructions were completely ignored and the pizza was left outside our door. It was stone cold and had seen no type of insulation between the store and our home. After reheating it, we tasted only dough and cheese; no flavor, despite several toppings being added. I held this place to the same standards I hold every pizza joint; they obviously don't know what standards are.

Absolutely delicious! We had the most wonderful meal of pizza, with a plate of roasted broccoli we absolutely demolished. We chose Carpe Diem because an older review mentioned “too much cheese” on their pizza. As well all know, there is no such thing. We even had a lovely spontaneous chat with the family at the next table over. I am telling all my friends to eat at Carpe Diem. I can’t wait to return. So yummy.

Happened upon this restaurant by accident last night, and was so glad we did. Excellent food, service, and vibe. The dough and sauce were something special. We have a new go-to pizza place!

Super disappointing experience. 11" pizzas were $15 each with barely any toppings. Pizza was not hot, dough was tough. I've had better frozen pizzas. As the others have said, Roscoe's was way better. Spend your hard earned money elsewhere. This pizza shop shares a space/kitchen with an Italian joint next door. Kids tried the calamari appetizer from there. They said it had no taste, looked like onion rings without an onion and the dipping sauce was just pizza sauce.

Ok takoma. This is the best pizza. Thin crust, wood oven, pure delight. If you haven’t been here, please frequent. From the first bite you can appreciate the dough. We love the nobile white pizza & the tiramisu melts in your mouth. My wish is for a happy hour pizza and beer special !
Kid-friendliness: I bring my 2.5 and 7 year old here.

What better then roscoes pizza, very beautiful interior with excellent service, person favorite item on the menus is the Tiramisu, which is the best I have ever had, excellent italian food and would highly recommend to anyone as the best place in Takoma park.

At least once a month or more, I get a pizza from Carpe Diem, so I guess I'm a regular. I've tried most of the pizzas. The meat pizzas are spectacular.

This pizza is ok. I wouldn't rush to get it again though. There wasn't a lot of taste to either the dough or the sauce. The cheese tasted like it was pretty low quality. It's fine if you're in the neighborhood and looking for some neapolitan pizza, but there are much better options in the region as a whole.

Pizza was delicious!
Amazing pizza!
Great pizza (5 stars) but please cut it into 8 slices, not quarters. We buy about 1-2 times a month. The pizza is meant to be shared and 8 slices is much easier for it.
I love Carpe Diem pizza. In my opinion it is the best pizza in the Takoma area. I always go for the Ham and fungi pizza and it never disappoints.
I should have listened to a former Carpe Diem customer who recommended Roscoe's as I entered Carpe Diem, only four customers were seated during prime time on Saturday night and a handful of carryout orders were waiting on the counter. As my pizza was being prepared I twice asked for the sauce to be reduced and the pizza maker refused. I decided to try it his way...Too much sauce, too much cheese and the dough tasted like it's made from a low quality domestic flour. The pizza was not Neopolitan style but an American interpretation of pizza. After one bite I attempted to return the pizza, the surly staff refused to give a refund because I had taken a bite of the pizza. I left the pizza with the staff and exited the place.Save your time go to Timber Pizza Co. on Upshur Street, nice folks, great pizza wonderful service. I haven't been to Roscoe's...
