“Visited San Pacho today and overall had a really solid experience. I had the quesadilla, and my friend got the California burrito—which comes loaded with fries inside and was honestly really good and filling. One thing I really appreciated was that they offer non-alcoholic slushies. I tried the guava one and it was so good, super refreshing and definitely a standout. I was a little surprised they don’t offer tacos, but the menu still has great options that hit the spot. The food, staff, and overall vibe were all on point—friendly service and a chill atmosphere that makes you want to stay a little longer than planned. Only heads-up is parking can be a bit tricky on busier days, so plan accordingly. Overall, a great spot I’d definitely come back to.”

“My friends and I went to Motorkat today after attending a play in Olney. Mikey was our server and was a stellar server. He was friendly yet professional. We came in with an appetite. We started with the smoked salmon and artichoke dip. The portion size was nice, and the chunky texture and flavor fit well with the Saltines. Next was the pistou salad, roasted sunchokes and the pork belly with creamy grits. The pistou salad was artfully plated and was soo good. The roasted sunchokes came with a miso ranch dressing and sesame seeds. It was so good and the mixed textures worked well. The pork belly sat on a bed of the creamiest grits I've ever had. The pork belly was tender, and the smoky tomatoes were a great paring and provided just enough acidity to cut through the richness of the dish. Still hungry, we ordered the flank cut short ribs and broccolini. The grilled broccoli were lighly tossed with chili garlic sauce, peanuts and basil. Divine. The flank cut ribs were Cumin scented and accented with a tart cucumber salad. They were fork tender and very flavorful. Our only disappointment was the scallion Pancake with pickled vegetables. We felt that overall then presentation was nice, but the Pancake was a bit thick and was a bit charred on the bottom. The pickled vegetables overpowered the pancake.. Out meal ended with mango sorbet. Overall, we loved the service Mikey provided, and all the staff was gracious. I highly recommend this spot for dinner. Thank you!”

“Takoma Bevco has become a Takoma staple. I personally love their espresso, served traditionally with sparkling water. You don't get that hardly anywhere! Food is great, atmosphere is great, and staff are really friendly and provide some of the best service I've gotten in DC!”

“We really enjoyed the sourdough nonna style pizza. In a world where everyone is obsessed with the Neapolitan pizza, Red Hound does something different which is really special. Highly recommended.”

“If you love Mexican seafood, ceviches, and margaritas, this place is for you. Mariscos Culiacán, right on University Blvd in Takoma Park, seriously delivers.
I had the Original Tajín Margarita (their spicy-style margarita), and it was amazing—perfectly balanced with a great kick. The Aguachiles were fresh, spicy, and full of flavor. But the star of the night was the Ceviche Especial—absolutely unbelievable. Super fresh seafood with bold, well-seasoned flavors.
What really sets this place apart is the combination of authentic Mexican mariscos and sushi. You can enjoy ceviches, tostadas, cocteles, and sushi rolls all in one visit, and everything works.
The space is big and lively with lots of screens, giving it a fun sports bar vibe. They also have happy hour from 4–7 PM plus daily specials, which makes it an easy win.
If you’re into ceviches, margaritas, and bold Mexican flavors, I highly recommend Mariscos Culiacán. I’ll definitely be back.”

“So many folks have been drawn to the new kid on the block, Koma Café, but don’t forget about the welcoming, delicious and expansive Mansa Kunda at the corner of Flower and Erie Aves. There is plenty of interesting space to enjoy a meal, a quiet afternoon coffee or a friendly drink. You can even sit on a chair made from a traditional West African drum. There couldn’t be a more gracious host than Hatib who serves brunch in addition to lunch and dinner. This morning he welcomed five of us for a 10:00am feast, first asking if there was anything we didn’t eat (meat for the most part) but yes to eggs. We trusted him to surprise us and indeed he did. The veggie omelets were tender, whole wheat rolls still warm, the home fries crunchy and rich and the Brussel sprouts delicious. There were small coconut fritters, lightly fried and dusted with powdered sugar. So tasty! The brunch menu at Mansa Kunda includes familiar favorites like blueberry pancakes in addition to traditional West African dishes. Peanut butter chu anyone? It’s open from 10:00am to 9:00pm every day with Happy Hour from 4:00 to 7:00. Hatib is also an excellent baker so the sweets are a treat. We’re very lucky to have Mansa Kunda in the neighborhood. If you haven’t been there already, you’ll find something special to enjoy.”

“Exquisite cuisine complemented by a charming atmosphere! Their house-brewed Vietnamese coffee tastes and smells so good. The new soft-shell crab with tamarind sauce is so yummy and reasonably priced. I will definitely come back for their delectable chimichurri steak. I will definitely come again to try out the banh mi and other lunch options as well as other authentic Vietnamese items. I love that with a menu brimming with authentic Vietnamese dishes, they also offer a tempting array of vegan and exotic options. It's a great addition to the modernized Takoma Park.”

“What a welcoming little Ethiopian coffee shop! Once a market, Dire Coffee opened in 2020. Family-owned, Dire Coffee serves Ethiopian coffee beans in all different ways- black coffee, lattes, and more. I ordered the Pumpkin Spice Latte. It came out hot and strong. The woman behind the register, who's the wife of the owner, asked how sweet I wanted my latte. She was very kind!
To eat, they have a variety of food. I ordered one sambusa and it was filled with lentils. It hit the spot!
The space itself is small, but comes with many places to sit. There's a small parking lot out front.”

“Me and my family has be receiving great food and service since my daughters was not even born yet now they love it and my mother in-law who won't eat at a lot of places they truly are #1”
“They don’t speak a lick of English but DAMN do they know they way around a kitchen and plate.
Pulled up otw home from out the city. I have an hour drive and I do not feel like I’ll have the bandwidth to cook tonight. Got half chicken with two sides and MAAM, Abuela in the back knows how to throw together an amazing dinner.
No excessive wait, efficiency and a good meal. It’s now the go to when I don’t feel like cooking”
“A small but very good gelato spot. It's very small like a walk up window. Service is quick and nice. They're not very many flavors but good enough to hit the spot on a warm sunny summer day.”

“the pizza here is pretty good. been maybe 6 times; will likely go again. the style is hand toss / wood fire. crust above par. a tough greasy, lite sauce, standard cheese, but love in the craft. better assortment of toppings than most. also whole kitchen & bar from adjoined Trattoria available.
look at a lot of these other reviews in context: complaints about 3rd pay delivery being cold, complaints about pandemic rules. that's 2/3 the negative. liking it or not, that's fair. service going sideways would be fair. personally i have not had a bad experience. this isn't a bad pizza joint and the 3.6 rating is ???”
“A wonderful indoor atmosphere (intimate and cheerful) with really helpful staff. Three of us shared 4 brunch menu entrees, and they were all delicious. The hibiscus mimosa was particularly good!”

“I ordered from Beijing Delight.
The General Taos Shrimp. It was specially poignant and fresh. Their broccoli was highly nourishing and it eclipsed the flavor of the shrimp, easily. I saw signs that the food sources were sincerely thanked. I do not know where Beijing Delight is coming from but their recipe is quite refreshing and their philosophy is clean and small ego. It isn't greasy takeout, it is from the high pan of quality! This is my first time but I am thankful for the zen of Beijing Delight, clean cooked and subtlely fresh, its quality visible in the aura. Listen, I'm telling you the veggies eclipsed the shrimp, difficult to do and passionately cooked 5/5
I am thankful I chose them, a good fate chinese gourmet”

“It's always delicious to pass by a campero! In this establishment the cashier was very friendly and attentive! And the table area was clean.
Parking: It has ample parking, you just have to be careful since the drive thru is a few steps from the entrance. It is necessary to be attentive.”

“I recently went for brunch and the French toast was out of this world — perfectly cooked, flavorful, and one of those dishes you keep thinking about after you leave. The whole experience was such a vibe. Great atmosphere, beautiful presentation, and bold flavors that really stand out. Definitely adding this to my go-to brunch spots!”
