The richness and the flavor profiles were out of this world, especially the latter flavor of the two. It’s dangerous to know the Kroger store is only five minutes from my house. The service was excellent; I wasn’t sure what to choose, but the cashier helped me by offering samples and sharing details about each flavor I tried. One of the chocolate flavors I sampled was incredibly rich and chocolatey—it's water-based and vegan-friendly, which was a first for me! The restaurant was nice, clean, and had indoor seating that could accommodate several people, but I decided to take my treat to go.“

“I love the hot cocoa from Dolci Gelati at the National Zoo for Zoo Lights. I bought 1 for me and 1 for a friend & went back again for a second night for more on the last night of Zoo Lights. Interesting array of flavors, amazing texture and mouthfeel, and I love that this place is not afraid to get adventurous with flavors. Black Sesame--yum! At the same time, their most simple, traditional flavors are among my favorites--Strawberry and Cookies and Cream are absolutely delightful. I appreciate that this place continues to keep their prices very reasonable, especially given how crazy expensive food has gotten in 2024. He took the time to show me the nutritional for each flavor that was safe for my food allergies. On top of that he would go the extra mile and get a new pint with a clean spoon to make sure there was no cross contamination. This stood out the most because he truly cared about the safety of my health. For 26 years I’ve had these allergies and always had to be on my toes on new places to eat. “DOLCEZZA might just be my new gelato stop! I tried many flavors, but finally decided on Roasted Strawberry and Passionfruit Mousse. Such a great mix between sweet and tart! Highly recommend while passionfruit is still available! Also tried the matcha drinks and thought they both were good and had a unique taste to them. The Coquito was amazing! I’m not a coffee person, but the cinnamon blend made it taste so much better! I was shocked.“

“I’ve worked in restaurants my whole life, making and serving food (including burgers and fries). I just stopped by Joia last night, for the first time. I ordered a double patty. I have to say that it might have been the best burger I’ve ever tried. Nothing too fancy, just the perfect size and balance of ingredients. I didn’t intend to get any fries, but after ordering my burger, I asked the employee who was serving me if I could try one. It was so good, that I instantly asked to order some, only to find out that they had gone ahead and generously thrown in a batch on the house for me. I literally have never written a review in my life (google, yelp, otherwise) but I was so into it I thought I should share. Super friendly, low key atmosphere, fast, and delicious.
