“I went there today with my 7 year old son for a banana royal for me and a scoop on a cake cone for my son, the ice cream was superb! If you ever go I would recommend the banana pudding with some cookies and cream it won’t disappoint. For my son he chose little blue panda on a cake cone and he loved it he still hasn’t stopped saying how much he wants more. On top of that the customer service was amazing the lady had a little conversation with us about our day and even gave my son some Oreo’s. On top of all of that the price was just 12.58! “My son and I ate at Bacio today and let me say we had a wonderful experience. We sat on the cute patio and it was so peaceful and quiet, you wouldn’t know you were in the middle of DC. The server was friendly and attentive. I liked the alcohol selection, and had wine. We enjoyed mozzarella sticks which we could tell were made in house and not just reheated from frozen like in most other places. The pizza my son got was fresh and delicious. I enjoyed my arugula salad with shrimp. I wish they were a little more cooked but that is a personal preference. The desserts very very good too, we really liked the limoncello raspberry cake. We really highly recommend this place and we can’t wait to go back!“

“The menu had too many good options and I wish I could come here all the time to get through the entire menu. During this trip, we tried the ube milk and the mango yuzu black tea. Both with boba of course. The ube milk was made with real ube so it was starchy like a potato, thick like a watered down milk shake, and really delicious. It wasn't sweet to me, it felt like a dessert vs a drink. The real winner was the mango yuzu black tea. It was also made with real mango fruit puree and tasted like a mango fruit leather. Bursting with flavor from the mango and had a zing from the yuzu, it was the perfect drink for the warmer weather outside. The boba was also so soft and chewy. This was a true boba place. And it was literally ran by one guy. If I lived in DC, this would be my go to boba drink place for sure.“

There was outdoor seating enjoyed by many, but we chose to sit indoors and people-watch in the charming, bustling area on a Sunday afternoon. Great experience as out-of-towners!“

“This place can get popping' with its limited parking but it's close to my house and they usually have what you're looking for. Street parking can be available if they have no space in their lot and they have a small seating section next to the line where you order. There are three windows you can order from but only the first two have the bar code scanners. I love this place and will definitely be coming more during summer time!“

“I’ve driven by this place close to a thousand times but never stopped. I can’t believe the amazing and wonderful place I “found” today when I finally made the bold decision to try something different. At first, I was going to grab a slice of pizza because I was impressed by the look of the slices in the display case. But after I started my order on the tablet, I saw a brisket sandwich piled high with coleslaw. I ordered with extra sauce but didn’t need it because the flavor is absolute perfection. “This place was so cute! They had red and white stripes as their decor, and also a pretty good outdoor place. The workers were kind, and they brought our order pretty quickly. I got my go-to Rita's order, blue raspberry and root beer Italian ice with gummy bears. It brought out those exact flavors, and I loved it. My friend got the pear ice cream, which they said "I like it" and they said that "they were surprised the small size is still a lot." I guess the small size is a bit large, but other than that, this place is very awesome!“

“Locally owned, Moorenko's is an ice cream shop in Eastern Market with a vast menu of flavors, including dairy-free options. My daughter enjoys the milk chocolate ice cream with marshmallow and sprinkle toppings. They also have a chocolate chip cookie dough option with plenty of dough inside. The ice cream is pricey compared to the place inside nearby Eastern Market, but it is good!“
“Maryland Dairy has been serving ice cream on the University of Maryland for 100 years. Formerly located in the Turner Building, its name has been simplified, and it is now conveniently and logically located in the food court of the Stamp Student Union. We were planning to have lunch after leaving campus, but we had to have ice cream first! The colors and names of the choices were attractive. The purple was actually blueberry with vanilla cookie pieces and cream cheese icing swirl. It was named after W.S. Arbuckle, a former university professor and author of a definitive book on ice cream. We also tried Terpresso, a double strength coffee ice cream with crushed Oreos and a caramel swirl named after the Terps or Terrapins sports teams. The Sapienza, which we were told is the customer favorite, was a creamy, rich vanilla bean ice cream with chocolate chips and chunks of chocolate fudge brownie, a smooth chocolate swirl, and creme de cacao. In recognition of Jim Henson, a prominent alumnus, and his Muppets the green mint ice cream with chocolate chips was named Kermit’s Kiss. I only regret not bringing an insulated bag so I could take home some pints from the freezer.“

“I personally don't know anyone who dislikes Rita's. Back in my college days I remember how my friends and I would run over from our dorms to get the Spring special. Not sure if they do that now, but on occasion I do still get an urge for a (small) gelati -- which is both custard and Italian Ice layered in one cup. I haven't disliked any, but I usually gravitate to the Mint Choco Chip cream ice and ANY of the custards. Just depends on what's available.One thing I also like is that in addition to the standard nutrition facts charts, they share a chart that lists all the flavors and which ones do and do not contain dyes and gluten. That's... really awesome. The parking lot for this location is really tight... and there's a bench or two, but ultimately not too much space to hang. Prepare to grab and go... and escape that parking lot haha!“

There are a couple benches and tables to sit and eat at. I ordered a waffle cone with butter pecan ice cream. They definitely didn't skimp on the pecans. Pecans galore in my ice cream. . Hahaha more pecans than ice cream actually and I was okay with that. Usually places skimp on the pecans and only give you the cream. My other half ordered mango sorbet.... Light and refreshing and hit the spot. Nice treat on a hot day! Parking is shared with other restaurants and stores nearby ; on the plus side it's free at least.“

“This spot is located in the same building as Wiseguy Pizza and Khin Sushi. I was greeted immediately which is always a plus. They have a good variety of flavors to choose from. I'm a chocolate lover so I chose the Reeses and and Red Velvet flavors. Both were rich, creamy and tasty. The red velvet didn't really taste like red velvet to me but it was delicious. It just didn't give that signature flavor. Since they are located at the same counter as the sushi restaurant, it doesn't really feel like a gelato or ice cream shop but that isn't a dealbreaker. I would visit again.“
