? place; ?vibes, ? food.
Burger is great. Be sure to get the double patties for the full effect.
Kale salad is good but a little over dressed and salty, in my opinion.
Be mindful there's not a lot of parking spaces. You'll find free street parking if you just drive around a bit, but it does require a brief walk in a hilly neighborhood.
Nom nom nom! ?

This wine and gift shop is perfect for the foodie you love, or for yourself! Their wine selection is interesting and delicious. They have tons of non perishable cute food gifts, cookbooks, pasta, etc. I have never eaten at the restaurant but they have a charming upstairs wine bar, with options for outdoor seating as well. There’s also a deli in the basement with delicious lunch and take home options. So glad this wine shop exists in Takoma.

Lunch today. The Kale Caesar with chicken got top marks, the prosciutto, goat cheese and fig sandwich was loved, but the Vegan Banh Mi was... really bad: seitan deep fat fried to resemble rock crystals, zero cilantro, the paper-thin slice (singular) of carrot and radish was not pickled and the menu-listed Sriracha was so bland it couldn't qualify as Sriracha. And presentation? Well, unfamiliar with the concept. So disappointing.
Excellent selection and really welcoming environment. So much nicer an experience than any other wine shop in DC: if you know what you want, they’re very receptive and treat you knowledgeably, if you need help, they’re very receptive and treat you knowledgably. Unpretentious and deliberate.

What a cute shop with 3 levels, and outdoor seating. Top level has a wine bar for 21+, 1st floor is where the main cash register is located and some crackers, cheese miscellaneous food items, and basement has their kitchen and a few small tables for seating, and some more food products they sell (like a mini mart). There is free parking behind the restaurant. There is a back entrance from the parking lot that leads to the top floor where the wine/alcohol is served. There are 2 individual bathrooms located on the top floor as well. We don't drink alcohol, so we went down to the 1st level to check out their other products offered. The front entrance leads to the first floor. We came here because we heard from a local that they sell coffee there, and we ordered a Chai Latte and Oatmilk latte. The lady staff was so kind, friendly and welcoming, and guided us to sit down and the drinks will be brought to us. We opted to sit in the basement. There are a few small tables there. My daughter and I really enjoyed our chai latte. It was delicious. However, the oatmilk latte was a little on the sour/acidic side for our taste. But we'd definitely come back to try their sandwiches in the future, hopefully when the weather gets warmer and we can sit outdoors.Their google map hours said they close at 6pm on Tuesday, but we found out that they close at 8pm. So you should call ahead to check on their hours. Also, they're not open early in the morning.

Love this place! The patio is great in the summer and the bar is cozy in the winter. I've enjoyed eating in person but their takeout is also super fast-- I can order on my phone before leaving home and ten min later it's ready. Their grocery area is great too-- breads, crackers, olives, spreads, chips, and really delicious cheeses. The Gambino sandwich is delicious-- my favorite hoagie in the area.I'm also part of their wine club and highly recommend joining. For 120 a month you get five wines chosen by them. The wines are high quality and often include ones that are worth well more than the wine club price per bottle. They include a lot of whites or orange or unfiltered wines that are very interesting and they always include an info sheet in the bag.
Awesome food, friendly, attentive and welcoming staff.
Lunch and a beverage is always a treat when I'm in the area.
We loved very specific holiday ice cream sandwiches from Nightingale (apple cider IS THE BEST) and couldn’t find it anywhere before leaving the area for good- finally found them here in the cutest place I wish we would have explored earlier!
Easy vibes, great wine selection, thumbs up
