We went for the first time today and the food is amazing and great atmosphere! We got the Hawaiian pulled pork and smoked turkey and both were delicious! Plus Santa’s little helper drink hit the spot! Will definitely be back!
Best food in coastal Maryland.
Big Mack’s Kitchen and Dock Bar is an outstanding spot! Love this place. Atmosphere is great, views from the deck are great. Fun to watch the boats and scenery in the warmer months, in the colder months step inside to a warm and inviting bar area and dining room. You won’t be disappointed!

Love this place! It’s so nice to sit at the outside bar and watch the boats and the scenery. In the cooler months, the inside bar is warm and inviting, and a great place to watch your favorite team on Sunday afternoons.
The service is always outstanding and the atmosphere is perfect for Tilghman Island. We are fortunate to have Big Mack’s Kitchen and Dock Bar! Chef Chris is top notch.
Come check it out, you won’t be disappointed!

I had an absolutely amazing dining experience at Big Mac’s Kitchen and Dock Bar on Tilghman Island! The food was out of this world — every bite tasted fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. Chef and owner Chris takes incredible pride in his craft, using only top-quality ingredients and making everything from scratch, right down to the cocktail sauce and the blue cheese dip for the wings. You can truly taste the difference in every dish. The staff was equally impressive — friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. The atmosphere is relaxed yet vibrant, perfectly capturing the island’s charm. With 5-star food, amazing drinks, and a beautiful waterfront setting, this place is a true gem. Don't bother stopping at St. Michaels, keep driving the short distance through to Big Mac’s - a must-visit on Tilghman Island!
Cool, hip and relaxed Dock bar located at the Knapp narrows bridge…worth every penny spent. Atmosphere and food is amazing. Highly recommended! Friendly staff. Worth the drive or boat ride! Smoked chicken and dumplings was off the hook!!
Got a carry out order and I do not live very close so I couldn’t just go back. I should’ve checked the food before driving away but I thought it would be accurate since it wasn’t busy. Once I got home to eat there was a long brown hair in my pork sandwich (my hair is blonde so I know it wasn’t mine) they also forgot the pineapple sauce that goes on it so it tasted pretty bland and my bun was extremely soggy like it was soaked in water. Not the best experience for my first time getting food here. Probably won’t be back.

We are in awe how good the smoked meats are and the brick oven pizza is amazing. The smoked chicken was delicious and the pit beef was cooked to perfection as temperature requested. The owner, Chris, is present and delivers great platters with his culinary team. The servers are all professional and friendly. Annie and Kristi at the outdoor dining area/tiki bar are fantastic. Michael and Jake are also very accommodating. Stacy, Cali, Stacy, and the inside team are also attentive. The pizza master is competent and the food runners all work together. Great menu and atmosphere and staff!

Had been hearing great things about this new resturant so we took the drive down to beautiful Tilghman Island to check ot out. We weren't disappointed!! The food and drinks were outstanding. We had an assortment of sandwiches which were all awesome. The crabcake was incredible, as were the two different kinds of wings we tried. The food was so good we literally orded sandwiches to take home and eat the next day. The drinks were also incredible! The rum punch and orange crush were some of the best ive ever had! Take a trip by car or boat you wont be disappointed!

Visited for the first time today. The fried perch and grilled mahi sandwich were both outstanding. So were the fries. Even the coleslaw was excellent! And those weren’t even the specialty of the house – – pit barbecue is. Servers couldn’t have been nicer. Also, a plug for the music. Just about every casual waterside bar/restaurant In Talbot County and the surrounding area plays inoffensive 70s and 80s classic rock and country on the sound system. That’s fine. It’s what people know and like, especially baby boomers like me. But Big Mack’s was playing an assortment of groovy, guitary, 90s era white guy reggae songs, none of which I’d ever heard but all of which were listenable, interesting, and fit the beachy Caribbean decor of the place. I asked the owner Chris Mack (who only recently bought and revamped the place) how he picked the songs and he told me that there is a Spotify-like app for restaurants that he uses and simply plugs in bands like 311 and voila. Brilliant. I wish Chris great success, and will be back as often as possible.
Still a fairly new ownership of the bar, still getting it together. Google’s listed website goes to the website for the previous name and ownership and says the bar doesn’t exist anymore.
The phone number that’s listed also doesn’t work.
So, I went to the bar and the hostess said they closed at 9 PM, however, another lady said that might not be the case that I should go ahead and order because they might close at 6 PM if there weren’t enough people there. While I was there, there was a a party at the bar and at least one or two parties in the dining area . So, on that lady’s advice, I ordered half rack of ribs, the tomato onion, and cucumber salad, and the old bay fries , TO GO.
I was shocked at how quickly they had that order out to me within five minutes. I paid and walked my to go bag out to the car, looked in it, and realized I had no utensils or napkins, so I went back in and the lady that told me that she wasn’t sure what time they were gonna close, went back and got me the utensils and napkins that I needed. Ultimately, it was a good experience, as long as you’re paying attention to what you’re getting.
The ribs were excellent. A large serving, juicy, tender, and the sauce was delicious. The salad was also very tasty, although put in a to-go cup that was a pretty small serving. There was an abundance of fries, but they were a little soggy, and I really couldn’t taste the old bay flavor that was advertised.
Still, the ribs made it all worthwhile.
I think, and hope that, with a little more time, the staff will figure it out, and management will get their info on Google maps together.
Their Facebook page has a lot of information, as does their Instagram.
So, if you’re in Tilghman Island anytime soon, you should check out big Mack’s!
