Having just returned from Japan and experienced authentic matcha in Kyoto, I must say Kyoto Matcha in Towson is a 10/10. The flavors are rich, perfectly balanced, and transport you straight to Japan—authentic without being too sweet. The Ube cake was also exceptional, easily a 10/10. Stopped by this cute shop for a post-dinner dessert and tried their mochi milk cap cake. It was not bad, but I recommend ordering another option since the desserts I’ve tried before were better (especially the mousse cakes or layer cakes). The server was quite nice, and the atmosphere/interior was lovely. I may come back to try some other desserts, but it’s a bummer that I did not like my cake.
