Catch 22 Seafood Market & Restaurant

The customer service keeps me coming back. The food was more than enough and it was delicious. Catfish nuggets, mash potatoes and the j*** chicken Quesidillas were superb. I went back again today for the catfish nuggets and mash potatoes.

I finally got a chance to check this place out. First off, you can really tell the food is made fresh. This is something you can not find a lot off in Upper Marlboro. The fish tacos were unexpectedly better than I anticipated. The soft shells were made to order and that was the difference maker. The she crab soup was meaty yet you really needed to add your old bay and salt and pepper to pull out the flavor. The banana pudding was top 5 because they didn't make it over sweet. It was rich with a award winning supply off cookie. The prices are slightly above average, but expected. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. This is a must stop spot when going to Upper Marlboro.

The best catfish I have ever had. The crust was delicious.I'm coming back for the oysters!Came back for the oysters, they were fabulous. Then my mom and I came back again for the whiting platter. Also fabulous. Catch 22 Seafood is a great addition to the community.

Catch 22 was a very unique and interesting take on soul seafood cuisine. I really enjoyed the Caesar salad with the deep fried salmon, butter asparagus, and sweet potato tots. My guest enjoyed the shrimp and grits and lamb lollipops, along with the shrimp spring rolls.The presentation is phenomenal. The service was fantastic. At the moment it isn't full service. However, as things normalize I can see this changing.You place your order and find a seat. The food is then served at your table. Which is a fantastic take on partial service dining. Only issue I had was the salad was slightly too salty and coated with too much cheese for my liking. My guest also desired larger lamb portions for their meal.Nonetheless, the grits were delicious. So was the spring roll. They also serve their own special made drinks. Juices and Lemonade to be specific. Adult beverages seem to be available. I didn't order anything so I'm not absolutely sure.My testimony: Catch-22 is a great option for something quick handheld and authentic. It is a bit pricey. However, I do see the menu maturing as the restaurant continues to develop. The staff is polite. The restaurant is clean. And most importantly, the food is delicious.

Very clean, smelled fresh, friendly atmosphere; great service and delicious food!

I was unaware that they put whole and shelled crawfish in the mixed seafood pasta because it's not listed on the menu, nor was it told to me when I ordered in the restaurant. I get home and start eating the pasta and bite into something crunchy. That's when I see a whole crawfish under my pasta. By the time I finish looking I find 4 whole and shelled crawfish. I attempt to eat past it only to start biting into antennae and legs. Unable to eat the pasta because of the shells, in addition to the crawfish staring at me I call the restaurant and speak with the manager, La La, who with an attitude tells me she will inform the other managers of my suggestion to list that the crawfish are shelled and to make note of it on the menu. I ask what I'm to do with the $30 pasta I can't? And with an attitude she tells me they didn't make a mistake so she can't issue a refund. Then offers to remake it if I come back. I agreed but don't want it because with the lack od professionalism displayed on the phone, I don't trust that I won't get my pasta without something else extra in it.My daughter had the She crab soup. Though it was good she didn't like the abundance of spring onions they put atop it.Good tasting food with horrible presentations. And less than professional staff.

Birthday First VisitI took a chance on a special occasion and was not disappointed. The food was very good. The customer service was as well. We had the J*** Lamb Lollipops for starters, mixed seafood pasta and whole fried snapper. Each dish was very good. The Birthday girl thoroughly enjoyed her seafood pasta (even though she’s not a fan of whole crawfish). I had the snapper. It was he best fried snapper I’ve eaten besides my mother’s.I Went to Catch 22 for the first time to celebrate my lady’s birthday. She wanted something different, casual and hopefully local Upper Marlboro. By chance I Saw the owner on the news after a sinkhole interrupted their biz. Voila. She loved it. There’s nothing fancy about this restaurant (In fact it could use a face lift). However, they have what's most important good food, good portions and good service.

The fried crab legs and cheese grits were good. Service wasn't all that great. We were directed to the phone menu and ordering system and we had to flag the waiter down to ask questions about the menu. The floor in the dining area was so slippery - even with sneakers. It was like the floor was moped with dirty water. I will give them another chance for carryout maybe.

I love it already! The staff is very welcoming, I had the salmon and grits… soooo yummy! They don’t have a bar but they have drinks like mimosa and a couple mixed drinks they made themselves but other than that it’s no real bar. The waitress we had was very nice (8-23-2021). I WILL be back to try something else!

The food is good. The prices are high though. Apparently, a lot of people don't care about the prices. That place stayed busy. Look again in six months.

I’ll start by saying that the food here is absolutely delicious! We live around the corner and are so excited about having a quality, local dine-in spot. We have eaten here a few times and both our food and the service has been wonderful! The young people who work at the front are are especially lovely and kind.The one place that I think could use some help would be to work out some of the kinks with takeout. We have called now on 3 separate occasions, multiple times, and haven’t been able to get through on their phone lines. My husband even went in person the other day after we couldn’t get through on the phones and he was turned away, along with a couple of other customers, being told they stopped taking orders at 7 even though they didn’t close until 8. Perhaps the website just needs to be updated to include that information.Otherwise, we are so happy that Catch 22 is in the neighborhood!

Our first visit was this past Friday, and the food was absolutely delicious! Can't wait to return!

The food was good and I wanted to take a picture , but aesthetically appealing is not a thing that the food shows when you buy it. The container was way to big for the portions ,my ravioli looked dry until I tipped over the food to one side. Also , I felt as though the lobster and shrimp ravioli was missing a veggie of some sort . I thing there needs to be tweaks with packaging , and presentation .

The food and customer service were extremely excellent. We got the catfish and salmon platters. The food was fresh and hot and our server and the general manager Jorge demonstrated great customer service! Thank you all!

My husband and I tried it out yesterday for dinner. The hostess was friendly even when my husband gave her a hard time for not having a paper menu, (but it was no shade, he gives everyone a hard time LOL!) She kindly told us that the menu was online and it wasn't an issue for us to pull it up on our phones. The take out section was a little packed but placing an order was quick and easy and we literally in and out. We got the spring rolls with crab, the crab cake dinner and the lobster roll. Spring rolls were really tasty and very light. Crab cakes were decent ( a little too salty for me but still good) the sides that came with with was the rice and creamed corn. Rice was meh, and the cream corn was tasty, very rich in flavor. My husbands lobster roll was delish! Nicely seasoned and cooked perfectly. All n all a good experience. We'll definitely give them another try.
