Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen

I generally hesitate to join the chorus of negative reviews, but my recent experience at this Popeyes location was, unfortunately, one of the worst I’ve had, this side of the Mason-Dixon line. While I recognize that several similar complaints have already been posted, I still felt compelled to share mine in the hope that someone in management is listening.

I visited the drive-thru a few days ago and was immediately struck by how faint the speaker system was. I had to lean significantly out of my vehicle to hear and communicate. I brought this to the attention of the employee taking my order, who was speaking quickly, softly, and with notable impatience. When I pulled up to the window and politely mentioned the issue again, I was met with an exaggerated eye roll from the young man working the window. As someone who is both married and a parent, I can confidently say I’ve seen my fair share of eye rolls, this one set a new bar.

While I understand that hiring younger employees can offer flexibility and availability, that needs to be paired with appropriate oversight. There must be a seasoned manager on site to ensure that customer service reflects the standards associated with the Popeyes brand. During my visit, I observed staff standing around on their phones or chatting outside, which made the 15-minute wait at the window, only to receive an incorrect order with no sauces as requested, all the more frustrating.

Regrettably, I’ll be avoiding this location going forward. Poor customer service, long wait times, and unprofessional behavior are a recipe for lost business. And in light of the now-shuttered Bojangles next door, one might wonder if the warning signs are already flashing here too.

I personally never leave reviews but this is by far one of the worst experiences I had ordering food at a Popeyes. The employees were sweet to me, except one manager wearing gray that I believe goes by Cindy on her name tag. I would be trying to put in my order and I felt like I was rushed. She was disrespectful towards me for no reason whatsoever and usually I get these employees are tired and don’t want to be on their feet all day but I was telling her my order in a very respectful tone and manner. Please do better Popeyes!!!!

It should not take multiple staff to count out 3 pieces of chicken. Especially since they got my order wrong!

The staff at this location are rude, incompetent and do not understand how to read incoming online orders. I specifically ordered 3 spicy breast which is clearly stated on my receipt. In addition, the young man working the drive thru window lacked basic listening and reading skills due to the fact that he kept forgetting what I ordered, and then had the audacity to get upset with me, as if I were the problem!

Once, I got my order home, I did not have the three chicken breast in my box, but instead 3 pieces of dark meat chicken!

The management at this location needs to review basic customer service skills to its staff.

The chicken tasted refried, looked over cooked, and the pieces were very small for all the money you paid. The customer service attitude was horrible and very unwelcome. The coleslaw was day old. You could taste it. I did not finish the meal just tossed and chalked it up as a reason learned, no thank you.

Placed an app order for their BOGO wing special. The sweet ‘n spicy wings were a hit, as usual. I decided to try the pickle glaze and was incredibly disappointed as they tasted like nothing; just regular fried wings. No glaze or any kind of flavor. The drive-thru line was quite the wait and the young lady at the drive-through seemed to have an attitude when I asked for the sauces they failed to place in my bag.

It’s a Popeyes! Food is good and the employees I’ve interacted with are kind and patient. They’ve never gotten my order wrong

Floors were so slippery, tables dirty, Staff was good , but at some point , need to check eat in area.

If you do uber eats deliver don’t accept orders from here these people always make me wait along time to pick up the food. It’s always 15 minutes or more just to pick up the deliver

On 04/13/2025, I used the drive in to purchase 2 two-piece dinners and fried pickles. I got home and pickles were cold and hard, so were my biscuits. I drove back to store, asked for manager. He came out, I showed him the rock hard biscuits and cold pickles, he said to me , so what do you want. I told him replacement biscuits and my money back. He said did you talk to someone before because I’m not your problem . I said you are, you are the manager, you are responsible for them. That sent him off. He refused to give me anything g. Told me to call the head people, said number over there and pointed Ted to something g. I asked him again for my money, $3.99. He said no. I called the police and reported it.

To purchase a 2 piece combo, 10 wings, and fries.. I’m disappointed by the time I opened my meal it’s was a little wing that they got from a baby chick..metaphorically speaking.. it was so small they should have added another wing. Disappointed that I spend that much money to be disappointed.

Just trash experience, always a long wait (30-40 mins in the drive thru is ridiculous) and still manage to forget some item or another. 10/10 for being the worst popeyes in Maryland though.
