Horace and Dickies Seafood of Waldorf

The location in Waldorf has the worst service. I order my fish dinner and when it was given to me, I ask could I have some hot sauce and tarter sauce. I was told it was in the bag and before I could check he immediately went in the back. And when I check the bag, there was no hot sauce, and one container of tater sauce. I will never order from this establishment again.

Have bought their sandwiches since 12th NE Washington 1990’s. Legendary. MLKing SE, all good.,Allentown Rd Camp Springs, Md. Stopped later, quality went south. Started buying here when first opened. Was good until lately. After today’s purchase, never again. Don’t even know what this was. An insult.

We need to support minority owned businesses if we want to see them to continue to flourish in our communities. With that being said, this place has some of the best fried fish that you can get anywhere! I ordered the fried whiting and it was fresh, hot, and seasoned to perfection! The only issue I have with this place sometimes is consistency. I went back and the fish tasted good but the freshness was lacking. I'll give yall one more try though because your fish slaps!! Please don't let me down this time 😊

I have never in my life smelled a more rotten smell than what we experienced when we received our fried chicken form this establishment. The smell from this chicken was obscene. The health department should investigate. I would advise for the health and safety for your family to stay away. The manager didn’t even want us to open the bag. Unacceptable. Please be careful when ordering from this location.

So this is what Horace and Dickies call a 4 piece whiting sandwich now. And I didn’t get a photo of the 23 French fries they gave me. I will say the fish did taste better than it looked. I didn’t notice the fish until I got home (my mistake, should’ve checked before I left). I don’t remember fish looking like this from Horace and Dickies. Welp, guess I have to find a new fish spot. And I forgot, got 2 of these and the price was around $36.

Please believe the reviews when you read them, I ordered the fish & 4 shrimp dinner. The fish didn’t have any seasoning. The sides were old, I requested my food FRESH, idk how old the Mac & cheese was, but when I got it, it was warm, but I could tell it was not freshly made. The grease was built up, which only happens with old Mac & cheese & the flavor was not good, idek how to describe it. The greens were not to my liking, Carolina Kitchen is definitely winning in that department for sure! I requested my refund, I took the food back & left it there to make sure they knew I was not going to eat it so I could get my refund for the fish & sides. The only thing I recommend is the fried shrimp, that was the only thing I ate!

Well it’s been hit or miss with this place for years ,and I think today is the last time I’ll order from this place. The catfish was cooked in old grease and it was over cooked, salty and hard. The hush puppy recipe has completely changed and is no longer sweet. The greens are just canned and salty. I can’t take any more chances with this place. They even changed the tartar sauce and not for the better. Can’t recommend.

I had them cater a Birthday Party at my home. The food was delicious. Jaquan was very pleasant.

Will not patronize this establishment anymore, the customer service was top tier trash. How do businesses expect to stay open when your staff barely speaks or act as they someone is holding them hostage to work. I ordered a family size meal with 2 large sides of macaroni and yams……this is a side serving for a family of 2.

I placed an order here this past November. They charged me $28.02 & then a gentlemen called and advised they didn't have any chicken so he asked if we wanted to cancel the order or exchange for something else. We decided to cancel the entire order placed it online so we never even entered the store. Til this day I have only received credit of $14.50. I have called numerous times and no one never calls.back. They still owe me $13.52. I filed a BBB Complaint and I am currently disputing the charges with my bank. Who charges people for orders when you know you ran out of food. Also if chicken is 1 of your main items you sell you should always be in stock anyway. So you can keep your 20% soliciting emails just credit my damn money & not 1 soul has contact me back

This place is horrible. Overpriced and terrible food. I ordered croaker. It tasted like ammonia, so I’m sure it was bad. My fiancé ordered whiting and it was 2 small pieces of fish. Don’t waste your time or money going here.

Great customer service but the catfish was disgusting and I was very disappointed after wanting to come here for quite a while. The hush puppies were good.
