The owner was rude and nasty when asked questions. I Would not recommend this place to anyone whose going to need assistance with choices. his cashier was nice, patient and informative but the owner attitude was disgusting I guess he don't like people asking him questions when he's socializing outside his property while on the job. Based on my experience today i feel this place is another black own business treating its customers nasty especially since I was recommended this place and a first time customer.

I went to this location and purchased a fish dinner with two sides, the food tasted pretty good but the price was a little high $23.00 and it came without bread, I inquired about bread and was informed that it would cost an additional 50 cent for a small cornbread muffin, if I'm gonna pay $23.00 for a dinner it should at least come with bread.

I have visited this place twice now and each time the food has been amazing. The cleaniness of the place was on point. The portions are reasonable. The pull pork is delicious. I'm so glad to have found this neighborhood restaurant that I'll be visiting often.
The brisket is good. I ordered the catfish today. It didn't taste like catfish but was ok once I baked it in my oven. I will not order anything but brisket moving forward.

The food was good. My catfish was great! The stringbeans[ were a bit to peppery for me. Everything else was fine.
Our family came here around 8pm on a Thursday. There weren't any customers. We ordered 2 family meals for 8 people. The meals had ribs, chicken, brisket, cornbread, collard greens, and macaroni & cheese. The service was excellent. I live in Ohio. The food was so good, I asked my husband to stop by on our way home so I could bring my mother a plate. Give them a try. You won't be disappointed.

I hate when a restaurant publishes their closing time however closes earlier than that. The closing time online and on the door was 9pm, I drive 30 minutes and get to the restaurant at 8:40 and it's closed. I see the workers still there and when I knocked on the door to get clarification on the operating hours they ignored me and my phone calls. Bad business and bad customer service. Should have gone to Mission BBQ

If you live within a day’s drive of Martin’s Soul Food & BBQ and you don’t take time to check it out, you are missing out. Everything that was delivered to our table was amazing: beef brisket, pork ribs, perfectly roasted tender chicken, yams, cornbread, the best mac & cheese in the metro D.C. area, and sweet, delicious peach cobbler. All reasonably priced under $60 and packaged to feed our family of four. Everyone we met was wonderfully friendly and humble for having prepared a masterpiece of a family meal. Martin, sir, you are a genius.

We ordered a large pork chop dinner, a ribs dinner and I ordered veggie order of 4 sides. Mainly wanted white rice and black eyed peas. I added collard greens and then I mentioned butter beans but switched to red beans and rice. After a 30 minute wait (probably for frying of pork chops) and $64, for my veggie order when I got home, I received greens, butter beans and red beans with rice in the bottom of it. No black eyed peas and white rice. Very disappointed. In addition, everything that we really wanted we could not order because they stop serving anything smothered as of 5pm and we arrived at 5:30. So get there before 5pm if you want smothered pork chops, Turkey wings or trotters.
