The food was mediocre at best. I decided to try this place out because I was in the mood for some good BBQ. I planned to eat in and take some brisket home to add to my Thanksgiving dinner. The waitress was extremely old and rude. We should have left when she refused to put in our food order as requested. We wanted to have everything brought out at once so we could taste everything. She said No and then let us know that brisket was too expensive, so we could only order brisket sandwiches. Again, we should have left, but we wanted to give the place a chance. We ordered a slab of ribs, potato salad, fries, and baked beans. She brought out two different sauces and explained that one was hot (in a used Vodka bottle) and the other sweet. The best part of the meal was the BBQ sauce. The portion was ample for two people to share, but I wouldn't call the meat barbeque. The ribs seemed to be oven-cooked. My only reason for picking the place was because it had Texas in the name. Authentic Texas BBQ is smoked and/or grilled. What we got was neither. To top it off, before we could finish our meal, the old waitress who had an attitude like Flo from the old sitcom Mel's Diner stopped by our table and snatched the BBQ sauce and gave it to the customers next to us. The customers even thought it was rude and asked if we wanted it back could they could clearly see we were still eating. She replied, "they don't need it." I was done. I will never go back. If you go, you will get the same waitress, and she seems to be the only person working in the place. Do yourself a favor and save your money. Expect rude service from the waitress (aka Flo), dry meat, and sides from a can if you do go. Don't believe me, ask her, and she will tell you everything is out of the can, "it's what they do with it" that makes a difference.

First time here and was gutted to hear they are closing down. I highly recommend the steak sandwich. Get in fast before they are gone!!!!

Great food: both cream of crab and vegetable crab soup -- delish as well as just about everything else. 5/5

Very disappointed. We ordered 5 individual meals. When we got home with the food we were missing 2 potato salads, and the chicken salad had hardly any chicken on it mostly lettuce. Sad to think we spent close to 100.00 and received this kind of order. We were going ro order from famous Dave's but they are not making potato salad due to covid, so that changed our minds to choose another place. Not a pleasing choice.

I've been a patron for approximately 5 years. Roughly within the past 4 months, it's gone downhill. Orders are incorrectly served, several items on the menu are not available, no baby back ribs, no corn bread, no texas chips, don't have the prime rib special on weekends (advised due to the pandemic), what a crock of hogwash. Waitstaff has become a revolving door. Lately, ever other week a new waitress is serving you. Only positive is the beer is nice and cold.......

Meh... I forgot to take pictures. But it wasn't great. I had brisket platter and the brisket seems dried out but tender... very strange. My husband got the full slab of ribs and he actually said his were decent. The green beans and Mac and cheese were below average. The sweet sauce was actually good tho.

What a great find! We had the spare ribs and they were PERFECT, the Cole slaw was to die for and the potato salad was LEGIT! We will definitely be back!!!

Terrible service we were the only table in the restaurant with a few people sitting at the bar waited over 15 minutes for a refill on a soda and had to walk to the bar and request the drink to be refilled I told the server we had been waiting over 15 minutes while she was standing at the bar eating her own food and playing on her phone. The owner Mary sager was standing nearby talking under her breath about how the server didn’t take two hours to eat her food and then when A

Had to wait 15 minutes for a soda refill. Ended up walking to the bar to have the drink refilled and made a complaint about having to wait manager on duty jokingly asked employee who came out of the back if he needed water and was choking on his food and then mention to the server that we did not need to come back after making a complaint

My husband has lived in the area for quite some time and wondered about this place. We tried it and I have to say not only was the food basically out of cans. The atmosphere is old and outdated. The booths are uncomfortable to sit in. No cushions just wood. Lots of flies in the air. Small things like only having sweet n low but not Splenda or equal. Also the ceiling is falling down. Many things look to be in disrepair. Do not get the Mac n cheese. It is completely processed. The waitress was ok but we had to ask multiple times for things we needed. She seemed to be the bartender and the waitress for the entire place. The local regulars were not fans of the mask mandate.

We got there when they opened, met with smiles and awesome food. Our server was fantastic. Traveled from an hour away to spend the morning with my dad, chose this establishment and it was great like always.

Ribs were so bland. Tasted like they were boiled and never on the grill.
