While visiting relatives we placed a to go order. We ordered at the bar, service was very friendly. Our order was hot and perfect. Crab cakes and fries with slaw ( which they placed in a separate container so every thing didn't get soggy which I really appreciated). Our relative enjoyed every bite !!! We also got an order of pretzel sticks and they were very good also.

The food was lousy. It didn’t taste fresh and had freezer burn after I taste. I got sick from it.??

We made a reservation for our group. We've been before. When we got there the waitress was ANGRY that we requested separate checks, which was stipulated when the reservation was made. Later the manager practically dropped the plate in front of my friend because she wasn't sure it was hers and took a second to ask. Very impatient. Apparently they required a $100 deposit but must have taken the card no wrong, but they never called or said anything when my friend confirmed everything the day before or the morning of, but were nasty about it when we were there. The place was NOT busy. My hubby asked what was on tap and never got the required beer menu. One waitress bringing out food was good and gracious, but the rest were horrible. The manager did not seem to care if we came back and apparently said so when my friend made the reservation. We are a good group, generally respectful of wait staff and patient. Most tip above the norm. While the food was great, this restaurant has a history of this. SKIP IT.

Service...AMAZING. Thank you Berkeley. Food...AMAZING. Spectacular menu. My wife had a crab cake sandwich that was to die for. I had the chicken quesadilla that was fantastic. Will absolutely be back again.

We were looking for a nice place for steak and happened upon this restaurant. The Filet was cooked perfectly. The Chicken Marsala was delicious but could have used a bit more chicken. The Chicken Curry dish was flavorful but sweet (or those who don’t mind sweet curry)

Johansson`s will tickle your tummy With food that is tasty and yummy. No complaints will be heard, nor discouraging word From your uncle, aunt, daddy, and mummy! That was our experience anyway. Upon my very first mouthful of the chicken curry I wanted another whole serving of it. Man, oh Manischewitz. My taste buds were doing the old watusi and the frug. (Does that date me or what!) According to my wife Stefanie her grouper was cooked to perfection and the accompanying mash potatoes she said were a delicious adjunct to her main dish.....ME!....well, no, her grouper. Apple crisp was the dessert of choice and, again, I really wanted another serving, it was that good. Suggestion for the restaurant: take a page from Mount Airy Inn`s playbook and describe the beers that you yourself brew along with the guest beers you provide. I didn`t order one of yours because for 5 to 7 dollars a pop I want to know what I`m getting and unless the server is a beer connoisseur, he or she will not know all of the unique differences and be able to explain them. A customer likes to read through them and decide from there anyway. Promote your brews by artfully describing what ingredients go into them and the processes involved. Since most people have current smart phones, you could QR code the description on the on-line menu. (I did get the coffee stout which was really good.) You describe, after all, your craft drinks. Back to the customer, though...if you sit in the long room on the street side, you MUST check out the paint job on the Victorian-era building across the street. It is not slap-dash at all. A lot of thought went into the brown, green, and magenta color accents to highlight the building as something unique and with personality. The very same may be said for Johansson`s food accents, too!

My wife and i had a gift card to spend here, so we went on a weekend night in July. It was not busy but they gave us a table in the area with the great windows. They seemed to worry social distancing, which was not necessary, and acted lik it was packed but the whol are only had a few tables while we were there. Not sure what to say on the food, but really disappointed. We haven’t had good experiences over the last few years there and hoped it got better. They seem to be mixing it up with a brick oven pizza but we went with crabcakes and the grouper. My wife thought the crabcakes looked like lump, but tasted really off - not bad. When the server asked, she offered a new crabcake, but we declined. My grouper had good taste, but too blackened to not allow the taste to appeal to my palate and their was frankly too much butter on it and the plate. Our drinks were ok. Much better choices for our food taste in Westminster.

We were in the area again, and tried to get into Rocksalt for lunch. With an hour wait; we went to a Johansson's, an old favorite. Tables were distanced, cleaned and people wore masks...all good there. We shared a burrata appetized; a nice chunk of cheese surrounded by marinara with basil, in a small cast iron pan served with oven cooked flat bread...YUM YUM! I had chicken quesadilla's; nicely filled with tender meat and lots of cheese; good sized serving. My husband got a Reuben with a side of fresh steamed broccoli. Everything was very very good; and nice and hot! The waitress seemed a but harried but was fine. I keep wanting to try another establishment when we are in the area, but keep coming here, with no regrets.

We love to sit at Johansson's outdoor dining they set up when it is warmer. Can't wait again until spring. At the end of the week, they set up a beer garden and make the best woodfired pizza ever! You can get their pizza all winter in the restaurant.

Dinner was not good. Food was cold and didn't appear fresh. Salads were good. Steak was completely cold and dry. Potato luke warm, wouldn't melt butter. I would not go back. Service ok, not very attentive, was only table.

This was very disappointing! I do not recommend eating here. I ordered the rockfish with Jumbo lump crab meat. There were a few small pieces of crabmeat on top of the fish. The rockfish was dried out and very fishy tasting. My Caesar salad included brown and wilted lettuce. The broccoli and baked potato tasted spoiled. The entire meal was very overpriced and the presentation was very poor.

I ate here recently with my wife for a date night and in general the food was good, but in spite of saying vegetarian friendly, there was either a pizza or a vegetarian rice bowl as the entree option. It was so unappealing that my wife sent it back and got a pizza instead. In their defense, the manager did come to our table and asked us about possible additions to their menu, and she asked my wife to wrote down some ideas. It sounds like they are at least open to changes, but as the menu stands we will not be back. The prices were too high for what we had and there are places with far more variety to go to for now. I would also recommend calling to check on the menu, because the web site, google, and trip advisor all have the wrong menus and it doesn't sound like they are rushing to have someone fix all of those.

Everyone loves this place. It is pretty, modern in an historic building on an historic Mainstreet, with wonderful food, friendly wait staff, and good organization. You cannot go wrong!

Had heard they renovated and went to check it out. Wed afternoon at around 1:30p; took my girls out for lunch before they return to college this weekend. The decor and seating area is nice. That's about the best I can say. We were starving and craving crab dip - ate it all up, then felt pretty icky. Was heavy on the mayo / cream cheese taste, sat heavy in the stomach, light on the crab and very bland - ? no Old Bay? would have thought that would be a staple with all things crab related in MD? My daughter's chicken tenders were fine. My other daughter ate 3 bites of her burger - usually a favorite - and said it was dry and overcooked, on a soggy bun - I took a bite - had to agree. I had a flat bread chicken sandwich that was greasy and also bland. There were only 2 tables including us being served at that time of day - but our waitress had disappeared, had to ask the bartender to flag her down for our bill. Just a bit frustrating to pay $50 + tip for a meal that none of us really enjoyed. I have felt happier / more satisfied after a trip to Chik Fila. Westminster has several nice locally owned restaurants ... suggest trying another one.
