Great local watering hole! Be careful going on Thursday nights, they tend to get overwhelmed and service is slow at best.

They are always crafting new beers which is a reason to return to explore new beers.

The bartenders are outstanding in making sure you never have to wait and are always friendly.

They recently had their annual customer appreciation for the regulars, which is always well-attended and a nice touch. Worth a visit.

The small brewery is located in Westminster, Maryland. And they do make very good beer! I was able to receive a tour and was quite impressed with the people and quality. The finished quality is highly dependent upon the brew master, but thankfully Sean's competent knowledge, education, attention to detail and experience are what make the difference. Unlike large breweries that have process control equipment and automation, this small brewery depends on people for good quality. They use top notch ingredients with many of them coming directly from Germany. They have a beautiful pub room
with large windows as well as an outdoor dining and drinking area, although slightly noisy because it is close to a state highway. The beer is quite flavorable and unlike any you will have from a modern, mass produced national brewery. They only provide a couple of test tastes, and I was able to get some advice from the young bartender, but key was input from the brew master Sean, and chose the stout. It was quite smooth, complex with both coffee and chocolate flavors but, not overwhelming. The only downside was the high prices. I was unable to try their pizza, but it is supposed to be good. Don't expect many workers there so if you attend at the wrong time with large crowds there could be long waits. Fortunately, this place is tucked away and unlikely to see major large crowds on most days, in my opinion. The owners Tom and Drew seem to be dedicated and conscientious, yet another plus. So the only down side are the high prices, but otherwise it is
destination that everyone should definitely try to make if they enjoy high quality beer. I consider this establishment one of the very best in Maryland, and I have many years of experience visiting wineries and breweries
throughout Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland and Virginia. It is important to understand that making a quality product is one challenge. But, having quality production facilities and ingredients, people and equipment to SERVE it to the public is quite another challenge. In my experience, most micro wineries and breweries have NOT achieved both. Pub Dog can be proud of the fact that they HAVE done both, which separates them from the vast majority of the competition. My only advice to Pub Dog is to do their best to lower their prices, offer special deals and quantity discounts. I wish the people at Pub Dog all the success that they can possibly achieve! Beers were all good. Pizzas were enjoyable. I recommend the pickle pizza if you want something different.

They don't do flights, but they had a 2 for $6 special. If there are 2 of you, you can take advantage and have variety.

We are new customers to Pub Dog and we've been very impressed....especially with Ruchel. She goes above and beyond to make sure our drinks are filled, our food is acceptable, and the table is cleared as we finish. She is on the move constantly checking on the customers, and is by far the most attentive employee at Pub Dog.

So many pizza choices, love the names! The beer is cold and the atmosphere is great! We will be back!

Margherita pizza was okay. Fiancé said it needed more Basil to be legit. We'll try something else next time.
