My family and I are Boba Tea fans and we happened to be in the area and decided to check this spot out. We ordered 4 drinks and it seemed to take a while, which was interesting since there was only one other customer in the shop. My wife got the basic milk tea, I got a match milk tea and our daughters (8 & 10) got the Taro smoothie and a Banana flavored milk. After two or three sips we all came to the same conclusion that our drinks were not very good. They all tasted somewhat watered down. My daughters did not even drink theirs. The inside of the shop was nice and the staff was friendly but when the drinks are not good, there is no reason to go back. Definitely would not recommend.

Is Hot Spot Bubble tea back? If they moved where? My sons and I have been going to this bubble tea spot since they were toddlers and it wasn’t there anymore a couple of months ago, what happened? Best Thai milkshakeKid-friendliness: I would always order 4 for my sons & I. the older lady would give me the 4th for free! Really friendly staff

Asking for a tip is tacky, especially twice (on the payment screen and the tip jar next to it). Charge what you need in the advertised price to pay your employees well. Tea is good, but watered down with ice.Parking: Free parking lots and garages surrounding the mall.

We REALLY want to give this place a chance so we've come back like 4x now and it's only ever just okay. No specific issues with server or long wait times, just quality. Pass on this one.

The green tea smelled like pee and tasted like chemicals. I dumped it out and brought the boba home to put in my own tea.

Poor service. I was being rushed. I only gave one piece of my order and she already gave me a total before I was done. Didn't even give me a receipt. I ordered a mango bubble tea and it didn't even taste right. I also got a mango and pineapple smoothie but I couldn't even taste the pineapple. ON TOP OF THAT, the fruit looked unsanitary. I saw the woman accidentally drop one onto the counter but she threw it back into the blender instead of throwing it away. I had one last order of a honey green tea but it was decent. The Trash was piled up in the corner of the kiosk and didn't look properly handled. Overall weak service. I would not come back here and definitely would not recommend this place. Giving it 2 stars bc the honey green tea was decent

Why am I drinking mostly ice in a smoothie? Fruit...about 20%, yogurt...10%, rest is ice. Then a lot of the fruit and yogurt for which I paid about $6 is left in the blender. Then the staff has the audacity to have an attitude when I asked for all of it. Shut down the store, please.

Pina colada smoothie with bubbles is great. This is not a fancy authentic bubble tea spot like some people are probably judging it against. It's just good sweet tasting stuff. I haven't tried anything else on the menu but it's decent for a stand in the mall.

The Thai iced tea tasted strange, as if it was mixed with a green tea and other flavors. I was not impressed

Wait was RIDICULOUS. 30 minutes for just milk tea, and the staff seemed totally unconcerned. 30 MINUTES. Then the tea was sickly sweet - overdose of syrup. Don't go here.

Worst bubble tea I have ever tasted. The only sweetener used for the tea is loads of honey. They use powder for the tea as well. It's disgusting. I could barely swallow a sip of their tea. I threw away the whole entire cup after barely drinking it. Definetly not worth it. I will not be returning there, ever. It's extremely sweet then turns somewhat sour and you get a nasty aftertaste in your mouth. I do not at all recommend this place.

Just about anybody can offer Bubble Teas but very few are capable of concocting the perfectly balanced beverage. For starters, Bubble Tea is about the mouthful texture of the tapioca pearls. The slippery, chewy, elastic nature of these tapioca pearls is the focal point of this drink. Prepared incorrectly, these pearls either end up as a slimy mush or hardened rock with a dry, powered center. A properly prepared tapioca pearl should have the consistency of a slightly melted gummy bear. Next, the drink itself must be properly mixed. Many restaurants rely on powdered flavors which is difficult to dissolve evenly. A properly prepared tea uses syrup and shaken through a strainer (as opposed to just mixing with a stirrer). The best bubble tea cafes in Taiwan use simple syrup as opposed to granulated sugar. Of all the restaurants I've visited, Bubble Tea Cafe's mixing methods most closely resembles a proper bubble tea cafe in Taiwan. After 3 drinks and two visits within the same day, Bubble Tea Cafe has proven itself to be consistent (at least this particular Sunday) and worthy of bolba praise. [Original Visit: August 8, 2010]

Bubble tea may be an acquired taste for anyone not from South East Asia. But give yourself a treat: acquire it. On the lower level of this Mall not far from the entrance to Target is a young Asian couple who whiz around like dervishes making all manner of cold or frozen drinks, from fruit smoothies to milk shakes. But the Bubble Teas are where the fun is. A plastic cup is passed across the counter with the largest straw you've ever seen. It's to hoover up the big tapioca beads that slump to the bottom of your drink. Bubble Tea comes in any number of flavors but my favorite is Thai Milk Tea, a familiar flavor but sweet. You suck, you chew. A good Bubble Tea maker won't keep the tapioca overnight. This cart is so busy it probably wouldn't be able to.
