A true Maine adventure in the best way possible. A series of homemade sign leads you down the rough and rocky Caler Cove Road. Do not be deterred, for what you will find at the end of the road is truly worth the trip. The smell of the sea, and rugged Maine coast punctuated by the working lobster wharf. There you will meet Bub Johnson, a one man fountain of knowledge and tireless advocate for the Maine lobster industry. I don’t believe it can be practically possible to find fresher lobster. Bub told us about the boat they came in on, and at what time. These are some of the best lobsters you will find anywhere. We will be back whenever we are Downeast.

Came here to get some fresh lobster, we were not disappointed. Bob is the nicest lobstermen around and he had a blast showing us around and telling stories. The lobsters were huge and at a great price. Would come here everyday if I was from the area, sadly I live in Germany.

Great experience. Small, local dock for lobstermen. Bob had soft shell lobsters, which is what we wanted, at a very good price. We waited a while for him to unload some of his customers boats; then he spent plenty of time with us. Since we are not from Maine we wanted to learn about lobsters, characteristics to look for when buying.. Out of the way but well worth it

Came here looking for some lobster fresh out of the water and had a fantastic time! We were greeted by Bob and everyone was happy to show us around and explained how the lobster catching works.The map is a little bit incorrect and we ended up at the owners house. You have to keep driving for about 3 miles until you see Caler Cove Pier. We were determined to find lobster so we didn’t mind the adventure!

Great experience buying Lobsters fromBob, who educated us as well. Fantastic price as well when you buy directly at the dock compared to the store.
