Awesome spot for some delicious comfort food. Really hit the spot for me and my wife as we were driving back along the coast from hiking and camping out east.

Scovils Millside Dining is a hidden gem on Cherryfield route #1. Despite its humble appearance, the restaurant offers fantastic service, excellent cooking, and shockingly affordable prices. The menu is very Maine but eclectic, featuring a wide variety of food choices that cover all the food groups. Seafood is incredibly fresh and cooked to perfection, with dishes like haddock, scallops, and shrimp rolls receiving high praise. Customers have noted that the haddock is the best they’ve ever had. The menu is amazing, offering two pages of options that cater to everyone, including vegetarian choices. The staff is accommodating and knowledgeable, adding to the overall positive experience. The onion rings are a standout, being whole sliced rings in a fantastic batter, large, lightly battered, and full of flavor. Desserts are amazing, providing good old-fashioned comfort food treats. While the blueberry pie may be on the sweeter side, it serves as a great dessert option. Although the restaurant only accepts cash and doesn't serve alcohol, it’s definitely worth a visit for delicious food, generous portions, and friendly service in a clean and cozy location.
