Been a fan for 25+ years and only get a chance to eat there once a year due to living in northern Maine. Always pleasant staff but for some reason today when I asked my wife to stop in and grab me a Big Dave she also got herself an Italian. After paying she saw the Italian special to add a bag of chips and a soda and asked if she could pay the extra and get that and was told no because she had lettuce on her sandwich and that lettuce disqualified the lunch special. This place is hit or miss. I ordered a calzone, loaded and there was no bacon, no peppers or onions. All of which are fairly standard in a loaded calzone or pizza. Got a steak bomb yesterday, it felt like I was carrying out a sub roll with nothing inside. There was steak but it was very skimpy. The taste in everything is great.

I discovered Damon's about three years ago and have made a trip there about every other month ever since.
It's a simple pizza and sandwich shop where you place your order at the counter, find a seat and wait for your name to be called.
The staff is friendly, cheerful and ready to serve.
The fare is simple but very well prepared. The decor is simple but very clean and well maintained.
I highly recommend Damon's for a simple but...
