Brought a group of 11. Called in advance and was never told it would be one check until we were seated. We ended up spending about 20 minutes of our visit figuring the bill. We all felt pressure to pay the bill and then figure what everyone owed when all it would have taken is minutes to do this at the register. There were 4 couples paying as couples and 3 singles. Food was great but no one is excited to return to a place that cannot even offer separate bills. What is the difference between us sitting at one table or at 5 tables? We have come before and have never had an issue. I think we would all appreciate an explanation of why in this day and age of technology making things like this simple has become such an issue.

Food was excellent. Very generous portions, so you get real value for your money. Atmosphere is great. The people are absolutely fantastic, very personable. The owner, Patrick, makes sure you are comfortable and welcomed. We will DEFINITELY be coming back here again.

Wonderful place! We had dinner (crab cakes for me/half rack of ribs coleslaw & sweet potato fries for him). The crab cakes are an appetizer I had as a meal. I strongly recommend the mayo with habanero dip. Yummy! Both meals were fantastic. I snagged a sweet potato fry and it was dusted with cinnamon brown sugar which was a delightful touch. The ribs were absolutely delicious. He couldn't finish one & was horribly disappointed. They had Atlantic Brewing Company's Coal Porter on tap which my husband considers the best porter in Maine (and he's had his share).

The brisket was pretty good. It had flavor and it was not dried out. The sides were good, But lacked potatoes in any form except fries. No baked potato, no mashed potatoes, and no potato salad. I'm from Texas and meat and potatoes go hand in hand. The steak was good though. Everything was very flavorful and they even had sweet and unsweet iced tea! The music was fitting and the service was great. We went on a weekday night so it wasn't very busy. If they put potatoes on the menu then I could go every night!

Parking: Parking is behind the building or behind the neighboring buildings on the same side of the road, or you could park on the side of Kennebec River behind the building across the street from the restaurant.from the restaurant.

We stopped by this restaurant on the way home from Acadia. Very nice atmosphere. The food was delicious. Service was great and attentive. Would definitely return if we visit Maine again.

I left my purse with my car key in the restaurant. The owner Patrick mailed it back to me on time for free after thoroughly checking and verifying that was indeed my purpose. Very responsible and considerate.

I had the chicken quesadilla, which was pretty good, my friend had the teriyaki steak burrito w pineapple salsa and enjoyed it.
The cornbread was excellent as always, flavorful and moist.
You really need to do something about the banging swinging saloon style door.

I think I went during meal times change. I picked up food around 5pm Ordered Beef Tenderloin Grilled To Perfection, Sliced And Served With Our Parmesan Risotto With Fresh Vegetable. It was a to go order. I asked how the portions were because I was buying it for my boyfriend and then I was bringing it to him and needed to make sure there were utensils. The bag was closed and taped when I got it and everybody was very nice that work there . We opened up the bag no utensils, and the steak was not sliced to perfection. It wasn’t sliced at all. No napkins. For $ 26.99 plus tax and tip to not even be able to eat the meal was a little disappointing, not to mention my boyfriend not having dinner while at work.

My husband and I had the steak sandwich. It was extremely overdone, to the point where it affected the taste. Not burned, but very sweet. Fries were super hard, overbaked. My husband found his meal to be inedible, which is something I have never seen in our 15 years of being together. He said that I wasn't allowed to pick restaurant destinations anymore.

If you are thinking about it, just do it! Everything we got was amazing! Our waitress was so sweet and attentive. Also we were happy with the GF options for my husband who has an allergy.

Dietary restrictions: Most entrees are gluten free! My husband has a gluten allergy shop it was a nice surprise to find many options that were available to him also.

Kid-friendliness: They offered a nice selection of kids meals. My 5 years old got the cheese quesadilla and rice. He is a picky eater and loved it!
