This place has become a must stop for me anytime I’m in Maine. The lobster roll was wicked reasonably priced and is one of the best I’ve ever had!! Fries are delicious and everything looks amazing! Vibes are classic small town mom and pop with great food. Can’t recommend enough!

I just love it so much! The food is so fresh and DELICIOUS. Im definitely hoping to eat here again, and the service was awesome. The seating was very nice, and there were many food choices! I love having animals be able to roam around as their owners are eating, and it’s very affordable! I recommend you trying this place, because you wont regret it.Vegetarian options: They had lots of healthy vegetarian options.Dietary restrictions: They have plenty if yummy optionsParking: Plenty of spots, and easy accessKid-friendliness: Its very kid friendly, and there is even a little play place for children! Not only will you experience great service but the food is right at the very top. You won't find pressure seafood anywhere. And you can enjoy it knowing that the operators of this establishment donate to a large amount of charities. So not only did they give you good food but they give back to the community well done

They just reopened for the summer (yeah !!) so stopped in the other day. Fried clams were cold and flavorless ?. Mixed basket had a lot of fries and not nearly enough seafood for the $$. They have always been great in the past so really disappointed for $63. Of course we'll try again later. I'll give it 3 stars cuz I know they can do better.

Last night our son and his new girlfriend asked to come for dinner and requested to have Red Barn. Our whole family loves Red Barn and have been regular customers for years. I have to say, that I was very shocked by their lack of accommodation last evening when I called to order dinner. Our son's girlfriend has a seafood allergy. She said that she had eaten at the Red Barn before and that if I made them aware of the allergy when placing the order then they would ensure the chicken was cooked in oil that has not been in contact with seafood. Given the number of people today who have food allergies, this actually made sense to me. Why wouldn't there be separate fryalators for seafood and chicken? When I asked the young lady who answered the phone about it, she said that all of their fried foods were cooked in the same oil. They do not make such accommodations and even if they were to consider it, they would be closing in 45 minutes and couldn't waste fresh oil on our order. I thanked them and told them that we would take our business elsewhere. This is definitely not the service that we are used to receiving at the Red Barn, but unfortunately today has become the new normal.

The food is just really good. Decor is very, very informal, but charming in its own way. The clam strips are just spectacular. Stay and eat them in the restaurant - they lose something crucial in transit. I like them with cocktail sauce, which you can get on request, but the tartar sauce is also very good. Lobster roll is great. Service is friendly - though always busy. Have been several times and will definitely go back.
