I have been going to Whipper's since I was in high school and I am now retired! I come in every Monday after my volunteer gig and pretty much get the same thing. The staff know me now and are very kind and friendly! Tonight I came by after working and they had closed a bit early. But the staff still there saw me drive in, waved me in, and had my sandwich all ready for me! Amazing people and so friendly! Customers certainly feel welcome in your shop! I want to give everyone who I see there every week a very big shoutout and thanks! They'll know who they are! Thank you so much and know how much I appreciate you all! BTW, when anyone asks me where to go for good food in Augusta, I always mention you first! Thank you for everything! I expect to be coming to see you all for many more years. See you again soon!

Booths feel small. It is a great whole in the wall that I try to visit every time we come to Maine. Favorite order: Large ham Italian everything but olives, light onion, add extra tomatoes. Oil yes. No salt & pepper. Best with a chocolate milk if they have it.

We drove 2 hours out of our way in order to come and eat at whippers! Ordered the Ham Italian, not sure what they put in their bread but the best I’ve ever get had! Ordered some wings as well and they were cooked perfectly to order. 10 out of 10 would recommend to everyone! Staff was perfect as well! Thank you so much!

You will more than likely be standing around n line for a short wait. They are busy for a reason and it’s well worth it. You can call ahead and place a take out order as a convenient option as well.
