Great service, AMAZiNG Italian food (seafood alfredo) Awesome hole in the wall restaurant. Very clean and friendly staff. Two hour drive will not stop us from going back.

Wonderful experience, great tasting food and very hardworking chief . I live out of state and every year I go to Maine to spend time with family . The nook and cranny is the Hidden Gem on Route 9 that needs to be tried. The food has a lot of flavor and chief Steve really loves what he does . The atmosphere there is a lot of fun, great friendly locals who make you feel at home. The negative reviews on google don’t surprise me when it comes to service, because since Covid it’s really hard to find and keep good help. The food on the other hand , everyone has their own taste but I’ve never had a bad dish of anything here, always outstanding. I’ve gotten to know chief Steve and consider him a great friend and think you will to , so stop by and I think you will be back .

Definitely not a run of the mill menu! Steve is an exceptional chef with attention to detail. I have enjoyed everything I've tried.Vegetarian options: I believe you would be happy with the variety.

When we walked in the "Chef" was standing there he was "filthy". It wasn't from cooking, it just turned me off completely. The service was fine, the ambiance sucked and the food was horrible. It sucks it is the only place to have a nice dinner and they failed.

Very friendly staff, great atmosphere, and very tasty food for fair prices. Our go -to for breakfast in the Calais region.

superb. We were there at an overlap period between lunch and dinner. Decided to go with dinner choices "Day in Italy" was outstanding - all smaplings were top-notch. Broiled Captain's Platter might have been even better - very fresh, spot-on preparation. We wanted dessert, but couldn't handle it. Waitress and chef/owner were very friendly and helpful. Can recommend highly enough. Will plan future visits to the area around a stop here.

My family had a amazing lunch here! The owner was very friendly and the service was excellent. The place has a charm and atmosphere the moment you step inside. The food was very good too, would definitely recommend :)Kid-friendliness: This place had a kids menu and crayons, as well as some toys!

I was anxious to go here having read some good reviews of the food. Probably won't be going back. Ordered the Seafood Pasta and the Linguine was too heavy and too much of it The Alfredo sauce that went with it seemed a little watery. My wife had the salmon which was supposed to have a BBQ Glaze but looked like a piece of salmon with BBQ Sause on top. Wine and Beer choices are not very extensive. I will drive the extre miles and go to St Andrews next time out for dinner.

What a wonderful experience we had today. First time there, party of 6. The food was exceptional as was the service. We had appetizers, meals and desserts. Nothing was disappointing. Highly recommend!

Don't let this place fool you! We drove by it several times during the day and it almost looked abandoned. But it is sure is happen at night and rightfully so! The food was amazing. The atmosphere was also fantastic. They even had a little two person band playing on Friday night. We didn't go into the bar but it looked like they had some decent seating there too. Highly recommend making a reservation, however if baby do it's a Friday or Saturday night.Highly recommend the shipwreck platter, fried scallops, clam and seafood chowder!! All excellent!!
