Fresh rolls and fresh ingredients... definitely a "must visit" lunch stop in beautiful Calais right near the border to Canada. We loved the nostalgic memorabilia in this place; they've actually got an ol' fashioned coin phone on the wall ??
Saw a sign outside for lobster rolls, so I did a quick U-turn and went back and man, am I glad I did! The lobster was delicate, the bread was fresh and very soft, and altogether extremely delicious! Be warned, though, that it does come with onions, if you don't like them (forgot to ask). Still tasty, though!

The lobster subs are great and the price can't be beat! I also loved the old country music they were playing when I stopped in. I was sad that they were closed when I tried to visit on Columbus Day, but I hope to get back to Calais for another great sandwich someday.
