The food was top notch. Great service. Really cool space. Menu options are elevated without being snooty and pair so well with the curated wine and cocktail menu. We had The Brandied Camembert, The Pork Belly, Chicken and Waffles, and Birria Tacos. All were delicious, thoughtful, and expertly cooked, but the pork belly was done so well, so perfect, that I foresee an addiction developing. At 8pm on a Friday night we had no problem finding street parking out front. This place is jewel on the Bangor dining scene crown and should not be missed! Don't sleep on it!

Food, excellent as always, I always go out of my way to try something new. Never disappoints. A forever a place I'd recommend. Waiter remembered my drink order after months of seeing me. Fabulous establishment.

My wife and I went here for her birthday. It is a small but quaint setting. We were seated promptly and our server came to our table. He was very friendly and knowledgeable about the drinks and food. I had drunken noodles with shrimp and pork belly and my wife had Jamaican seafood which was salmon. The flavors on both meals were so delicious. A great birthday dinner!!!

Amazing service! Awesome drinks! I had the Wash your damn hands which was a gin drink with candied ginger, my husband had the Sazerac drink, and we had a nice bottle of Pinot noir. Our apps were amazing a nice pork belly and a spicy fried chicken. My steak fries was cooked to perfection, my Jamaican husband was in heaven with the rainbow trout stuffed with crab, our son loved the chicken and waffles, creme brulee was to die for. Highly recommend 10 stars!!!

The Butcher The Baker is a worthy replacement for the storage that was previously occupied by Fiddelhead. The portions are generous, well prepared, served hot, and utilize fresh, well selected ingredients. My favorites, a scallop special and the main course trout, both challenging to do right, are served hour, fragrant, while retaining the right moisture and flavor. While the other dishes are also done well, it's the complete picture that is missing more freshness. Overall, the menu is heavy - the lamb is incredibly flavorful yet served with 30ml of fat drowning the polenta (or grits). It seems that TBTB caters to those who come in starving, love to leave stuffed, with leftovers for lunch the following day.The service itself is impeccable, not too overwhelming, though incredibly dedicated to doing things right even if not prompted - an appetizer apparently did not pass quality control, we were made aware as it was served, and informed that a replacement was already in the oven.Drinks are OK, not too experimental or adventurous, which would be my preference, though still fresh, and balanced. The drink price is a bit steep but maybe I'm still living two years ago.Deserts, on the other hand, as they tend to, are lacking and include the typical chocolate something and creme brule something. You can feel free to skip those. We've eaten there twice and for now, barring menu updates, have eaten or fill but can certainly recommend it to anyone who has not.

Drunken noodles for the win! Very tasty and full of pork belly and shrimp. Coffee was brought to table in a French press which was delicious. Matt was attentive and did an amazing job with service. Very reasonably priced- $62 for an appetizer, 2 entrees and 2 coffees Will definately be stopping in every time we roll through Bangor!

The best place to eat in Bangor! My only complaint is that they are closed 2 nights a week. I love all their small plates. The cocktails are really wonderful. The place is perfect for a date night, friends evening out, and even business meetings. I’ve taken out of town guests here and they said it was the best meal out they’ve had in forever! Oh, and save room for dessert. The cakes are magical.

My first time here and will definitely not be my last. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. The service is top notch and the food is extraordinary! I enjoyed the bone marrow appetizer (it's enough for 2-3 people), and the drunken noodles were outstanding! The tiramisu and creme brûlée dessert's were one of the best I've ever had. I can't wait to go back and try some other menu items.

Best lunch I have had in years! Glazed Pork belly & pickled veggies appetizer was delicious. The chicken and waffles was amazing, apple/molasses syrup incredible. Dining companion loved the Mediterranean wrap said it's fried eggplant was best she'd ever had. Service was great, atmosphere was perfect...l can't wait to go back. Want to try everything on the menu it all looked fabulous

Atmosphere and table service was good with the only exception that it seemed like there was an artificial wait or scarcity for waiting at the bar for a table. We ordered the steak and frites as an entree which was tasty along with the marrow and foi grase as an appetizer. My biggest complaint is that the price was fairly high for the quality/quantity received and it feels like there is a bit of taking advantage of haute cuisine occurring.Cocktails were excellent. So, all in all if you are looking for a more exclusive dinner outing, this resteraunt is definitely serviceable.

Great food, and normally you pay a lot for great food and the portions are small. The portions are huge.
