Very well prepared variety of dishes. The menu choices are probably some of the most interesting dishes one can try in Bangor. Even alcohol-free Prosecco. Attractive historic building, plenty of space between tables. Visit for the food.

Very specifically crafted meals and cocktails. If you have dietary restrictions, they know exactly what is in each dish. Delicious deep flavors. Very friendly service.

When we got to the restaurant the menu was completely different from what is online. Online it looks like there are a lot of items, however most of what is online is not available. The OWNER said they changed the menu. Then change it ONLINE to match!!!
The food was horrible, and it was over priced!!! My significant other took two bites of his meal and had the server take his plate. The OWNER of the restaurant who was standing at the sever station, never came to the table to see what the problem with the food was.
The service was also horrible. We ordered 2 ice teas and was charged $10. When we asked for a refill the server told us they were out of tea. She didn't offer to make more tea, just told is they were out. $5 a piece for 1 glass of tea each.
The server also didn't act like she knew what was going on. We had not even got our food yet and she asked if we needed boxes or anything else. There was a total of 3 tables in the restaurant when we were there.
The whole meal was $111!!!! It was a terrible meal with terrible mangement and terrible service for $111.
Do not waste your time or money on this restaurant.

My husband (culinary trained), our daughter and her husband who both manage and cook for separate restaurants and I (a self-trained Martha/Julia) were here for a day-after-Father's Day dinner. We began with Alaskan Crab legs which were yummy and fresh along with the Shaved Ribeye Crostini.. Ribeye, whipped feta, balsamic picked red onion and roasted Roma tomatoes. Tender, tasty and terrific!
Also ordered: The Duck
Steak
Pesto gnocchi with Prawns
Fried chicken with lots of spices.
The Duck? Scrummy.
Steak? Superb.
The chicken? Delicious and tender.
The Prawns with presto gnocchi? The gnocchi was lovely, not so the prawns. A bit dry. Overall the accompaniments to the main dish were well planned and executed with just the right amount of zing and zang. The presentation was spot on.
We ended our meal with 2 canolli's or is it 2 canolli? Regardless, they were delicious and had just enough sweetness and creaminess to top offa meal that I would taste overall, an 8.
I was surprised at how slow it was (good for us as we didn't need to wait for anything) but disappointed in how dirty the rest room was. Glad they don't cook in there as it didn't affect our meal. Lol
Go, enjoy, have fun.

OMG this has got to be the best restaurant in Bangor. Justin was the absolute best server and his recommendations were phenomenal. The risotto, steak, crostini’s, everything were outstanding! Farm to table and when they say farm to table he means it. Everything down to the grenadine is scratch made!!

Good food (not amazing). Good presentation. But not worth the price they're charging. Even if it is locally sourced. Friendly staff and good service. If a restaurant charges $30-$50 for an entree, it should come with a soup or salad, or at least some bread.

We were thrilled to find out that Utopia was open on a Monday!
We were back in Maine on a short getaway.
From start to finish, our meal was perfect.
It was a fine dining experience from amazing mock tails to cocktails. All made with fresh ingredients.
We were never rushed through our meals, but not ever ignored by Justin or the wait staff.
The main courses did not disappoint!
My husband had a steak that was presented to perfection and the flavor was mouthwatering.
I had the Eggplant Rollatini. It was remarkable also in flavor and texture.
Hats off to Chef Greg on an amazing dining experience! From taste, texture, flavor, to presentation!
I have to say that we both love to cook, and fresh ingredients are so important.
That is certainly what Utopia has to offer.
We will definitely be back sooner than later to have this very special dining experience again.
Great atmosphere with great food and great service. The rhubarb lemonade cocktail was delicious. Easy place to just hang out and catch up with friends or would make a great date night spot. The spanikopita was delicious as was the gnocchi with prawns. Price is appropriate given the quality of the food and drinks.
Staff very friendly, food very expensive, steak was dry
Bangor’s hidden gem! Second time I’ve eaten here while visiting and the food is outstanding. And the cocktails! So creative and fresh - gorgeous ingredients and delicious. Lovely staff too!
We love it. The drinks are gorgeous, service is great, and the food is delicious. The presentation is always top tier. Not to mention it is in walking distance from where we live, major upside. Also, if you have a sweet tooth, or even if you don’t, order the cannolis, they won’t disappoint. We will be back!
