“Small warm welcoming space in the heart of Bangor. Atmosphere is warm with modern sensibility. Nothing over the top of stuffy. Staff were friendly and fast. Clean and organized place with bar sitting and dining tables. The appetizers are as pretty much big as an entree.I recommend any seafood, especially the mussels!Parking: The Bangor parking garage is across the street, which will probably be your best option. The street where the restaurant is pretty narrow and is mostly for 15 minute parking during day hoursWheelchair accessibility: Does have a ramp to the entrance and main dining area.“
“Went for dinner over the weekend and had an absolutely terrific experience ~ the service was excellent ~ our waitress was delightful and very helpful ~ when asked about a specific wine, she offered a sample and when she discovered the restaurant had run out of that particular wine that evening, she took it upon herself to select another wine that would pair well with my duck entrée and brought a sample ~ she was appropriately attentive and kind with a great personality ~ our meatball appetizer was very good and the homemade potato chips were perfect ~ I thoroughly enjoyed my duck entrée and my sweetheart loved his scallop dinner ~ the lighting, decor and overall ambiance was lovely and made our date night that much more special ~ we will definitely return to try the rest of their delightful menu and will be recommending Kanù to our family and friends!“
“I was visiting the area for a workshop. There was a huge ice snowstorm, and this lovely restaurant was one of the few open. The owner was extremely knowledgeable, gracious and accommodating to the three of us in the party. All of us had different food allergies. The food was amazing and you can see she puts her love and heart into everything she makes. Must visit restaurant if you’re in the area.Dietary restrictions: Her menu is mostly vegan and vegetarian. There are lots of gluten-free options. She makes all her own sauces and uses locally farmed vegetables.“
