Waited 30 minutes for service only to be told they are 21+ after 9 pm.

Great late night spot. We arrived late in the evening. It was the only place open in the area, and after a 3 hour drive we were appreciative of the great service, drinks and an appetizer. We will definitely be back!

Bar harbour is a dead place during the winter (it was first day of March however). Have to visit village information center to find out that only one place is regulary working - it's Dog&Pony tavern. And two more are sometimes opened. With expectations for lobster roll of course we were dissapointed but ate decent food, cesar's salad was really good.

Great bar. But was asked to leave because I "know why" (in othet words, was making "a lot of noise" with my daughter). Given the noise level in general, would have appreciated someone telling me that my language (Spanish) was bothering someone but I guess this is the US so asking me to leave without a reason is better than saying that my language was an issue... Have a great weekend! Great lobster roll!! Just find a better place and better company for your meal.

Can't shower enough praise on this hidden gem in the village of Bar Harbor! Open late and year round, this cutely named establishment had speedy service, delicious appetizers and entrees and the service was some of the friendliest and most attentive we have ever experienced. Add restaurant to your Google classification so you appear in food search results! Can't wait to return.

TLDR: GET THE FRENCH FRIES. Came here for dinner after hiking Cadillac and Dorr Mountains The service while sitting at a booth was excellent. The decor and ambiance of the tavern itself is lively and casual. (Georgia vs Alabama was on at the time.) Food: Poutine: 5/5 - I am no expert on poutine, being a floridaman, but this gravy and cheese curd(?) Combo was excellent. But the star of the dish were the french fries. French Fries: 10/5 - I don't know what black magic f**kery is going on in that kitchen. But I can confidently say these were the best french fries I have ever had. The texture was just absolutly perfect. Michelin Star chefs should come here and take notes on how to make a something as simple as a french fry. (Looking at you Gordon Ramsay's Burgr restaurant in Las Vegas.) Basically this was the epitome of doing the basics to perfection. Lobster Roll: 4/5 - A tasty lobster roll, the sauce with it was very mild in flavor, definitly needed the squeeze of lemon. Came with a large helping of Ruffles Chips. Had I known how great the fries were I would choose the fries over the chips.

Great service by Judy . My steak and cheese sandwich and fries were very good . As was that Allagash white. A little disappointed in the microwaved pretzel ? was rubbery and obviously microwaved.

Pretty good food. First time I ever had Poutots. I have to get them again now. Accommodating. They were able to seat a party of seven within reason after we just walked up. Staff was friendly.

We had a great local beer on tap later one October evening with family and friends. It was one of the few places still open at 9PM. We ordered a pub pretzel and it was a microwaved pretzel and it was disgusting. The bartender seemed a bit irritated that we asked for samples before deciding on a beer. We only got 3 samples that we shared. Didn't seem very tourist friendly. Maybe we just went on an off night.
