What really made the experience stand out was the customer service. Our cashier, a wonderful Jamaican woman, was so warm, personable, and welcoming from the moment we walked in. She made us feel genuinely appreciated as customers and brought such positive energy to the restaurant.

The cook was also fantastic and took the time to give us recommendations, which ended up being spot on. You can tell the staff truly care about the customer experience and take pride in what they do.We’ll definitely be returning next time we’re in Bar Harbor!”

“We had the best time and best food here! My sister and I and our families and my two pups all ate dinner here on August 16th, 2024. Our service was excellent and the food was SO good. My pups were greeted and given a bowl of water and enjoyed the smoked turkey off dog menu too! Solid selection of local beers and nice variety of cocktails to choose from too. I would highly recommend checking this place out. There’s also an ice cream shop right next door, if you happen to not be too stuffed after your meal!”

And as someone who has to eat gluten free I was so impressed when the waiter brought out gluten free bread for me when he brought out bread for the table AND my own butter/spreads for it so there wasn’t cross contamination. Every dish we ate was amazing. Do not overlook the vegan option! My daughter (not vegan) thought it was one of the best meals she has eaten in years.”

She has an incredible vision and the skill to create stunning tablescapes. I had a general idea of what the table would look like, but she went above and beyond—it was even more beautiful than I imagined. She personalized the entire setup, from fresh flowers to custom name cards, and my guests were so impressed. “Slice of Eden made our wedding cupcakes last year and they were fantastic! We had half of them made as chocolate with Swiss buttercream icing and half blueberry lemon cupcakes with whipped cream icing. They were a huge hit and gone so fast! We decided to have them make us a small blueberry lemon cake with whipped cream icing for our anniversary this year since we did not have one to save from our wedding. They knocked it out of the park! I can’t say enough good things about this place!”

They’re friendly, efficient, and maybe a little blunt — but in the best way. They’re there to hand you a seriously good scoop, not perform a Broadway production about it.

“We ordered their Bar Harbor hot Chicken Sandwich with mac-n-cheese, chicken salad on a green salad with berries, feta, and pecans. Their hot chicken was the closest to Nashville's original Prince's hot chicken we've had. The salad was great - a light hand to the vinaigrette and ample but balanced portions of berries, feta, and pecans. The loaded fries were good too and not soggy from all the toppings. Refreshing sangria slushy and a nice IPA topped off our meal. The ordinary done very well and a great stop to include during your stay in Bar Harbor.”
