“I was traveling through the area and stumbled upon this bakery. I wanted a blueberry pie made with the famous Maine blueberries. This was absolute delicious and done very well. My family in Pennsylvania loved it and thank you! If you haven’t eaten a slice maybe it’s time to start!”
“We stayed here in our RV as part of thousand trails. The park was clean and the staff friendly. On-site laundry was convenient. Most of the sites are in total sun. Since was 4th July weekend they had some activities good for the whole family like bingo. Very convenient location to Acadia and Bar Harbor.”
“I've only had their packaged meals from Tiller and Rye in Brewer, but from what I've had their food is SOOOOO good. Very fresh and have good quality ingredients.”
“Service is good. The staff is very friendly I ordered the grilled lobster twin dinner with corn and coleslaw. It was good however it needed some seasoning.Five minutes away they have a sister location named Smokey’s BBQ lobster pound I ordered the same thing. Their food has more flavor it must be the black chef from Jamaica putting love into the food. The lobster was grilled longer which gave it a nice taste and it also tasted like he brushed garlic butter with herbs on it. It was lovely!!**pictures shown are from Smokey’s”
“Their lobster is delicious and tender (even without the crack butter which is never the case for Philly area lobster), if need be for those with family members that can't eat shellfish or avoid seafood they have traditional cuisine like burgers made to your liking, chicken tenders and salads...veggie burgers too for that family member you weren't able to leave home no matter how hard you tried. If your waiter/waitress isn't sure what you mean when asking for garlic butter (common with uncultured seafood eaters like myself from the Philly area) then ask for the "crack butter", they'll know what you mean. Thank you to our waitress for her hospitality, the owners for the great family dining, special thanks to the husband for the fresh caught lobster.”
“We lucked out. Walked in at 3 on the last day open until next May. Hot lobster roll and fries were delicious. My fiancé loved the NE chowder. Blueberry pie was yummy. Not cheap. But very good. Would go back.”
“Astoundingly delicious pizza!! We ordered the supreme with some garlic knots and were not disappointed. And definitely don't forget to order a canolli. Best canolli I've ever had! They also had amazing customer service. An all around great experience!”
“The cheesecake was delicious! So many flavors but we settled on the apple crisp and it did not disappoint. Every trip to Arcadia will definitely include a pit stop here.”
“Great meal, menu changes constantly leading to new culinary adventures. The egg plant fries in soy sauce are delicious and the deserts are miniature cakes! Would recommend to everyone. Also the drinks rotate and are ”
“I had the strawberry French toast with a side of home fries. Glad i ordered the short stack (2 slices)because they were huge! I loved that I had the option of adding green peppers to the potatoes. Everything was very tasty and the staff was very pleasant!”
“For people who grew up with good Mexican food: this is the spot! I moved to Maine from the Western side of the country and have missed real Mexican food. The flavors reminded me of home, the salsa was fresh, and the server was super friendly and accommodating! Atmosphere was a little slow because it was a Sunday, but the decore is clean and professional. All around pleasant experience! Definitely going back for the Oaxaca Steak! ~ Gorda”
“Stopped in to Martha's Diner on our way to Acadia National Park. On one of the hottest days of the year and despite the fact the diner has no AC, it was one of the best breakfasts I have had in a long time. Simple scrambled with bacon but with fresh Maine blueberry pancakes for me and my wife had ham and eggs with the biggest slab of ham I have ever seen on a breakfast plate. It is an old-school, local diner with waiters and waitresses shouting orders and the kitchen shouting back. Very 'local' vibe as well.”
“We moved here two years ago. Fogtown has been our favorite from the get go. They are such a great part of the community. The beers are awesome, especially the Stud Wall spruce tip in late spring/early summer. They have great pizza. They also host a lot of great music year round. What more could you ask for?”
“WHAT AN AMAZING ROADSIDE ICE CREAM STAND! Top of the New England food list for me was something with blueberries and this knocked it out of the park. Ample serving for a reasonable price. Plenty of outdoor space to enjoy the weather while savoring one's treat. The ice cream was rich, not icy, and the blueberry flavor tasted very real versus manufactured. Service was friendly.”
“Giving this a much overdue review!I miss Josie's, it was my favorite place to go when my wife and I lived in Ellsworth! 10/10 recommend stopping in and trying not only the food but the conversations!”
“The best coffee shop in Ellsworth by far. Great ambiance with a cool vibe. Locally owned & operated with a nice intergenerational mix of people gathering personally & professionally. The coffee is excellent (and strong), the deserts divine, and the soup & sandwiches to die for. Plenty of prepared deserts, sandwiches, and snacks to go as well. My favourite in-house sandwich is the Cubano but we've never been disappointed with anything we've ordered.”
“Stopped there by chance leaving Acadia and looking for coffee and a snack. Had an amazing Curried chickpea smash with cucumber salad and arugula on rye. It was delicious, they have meat as well. I also had a dill potato salad which I enjoyed very much and a latte from Creative Coffee which is s right with them also yummy. We have noted it all to stop there in our next trip to Maine. Worth checking them out. Just a roadside stop with picnic tables outside (very nice ften the best places) and you must wear a mask to order at window.”
“Had our first pie yesterday and am now having leftovers for breakfast . Holy Wow! Pie perfection ❤️Substantial and flaky crust. Ordered over the phone and so friendly and helpful . Apple salted caramel is divine . Can’t wait to try the savory hand pies !”
“86 out of 86!! Ordered the Rockabilly burrito bowl ?, beyond amazing!! Added avocado, which is very fresh.Very friendly staff, insanely fast, wonderful atmosphere, and incredibly delicious!!!!Anyone passing through Ellsworth should absolutely stop here for a bite! ?Dietary restrictions: Great gluten-free options!”
“If you like to hang out where the locals go to relax it's the perfect place to go. The customers were courteous and helpful. You could smell a hint of cigarettes. But keep in mind it is a pub.”
“They’re amazing curated specialty HomeGoods and some international foods. Great selection of wine. Only place within like 100 miles or something that I could find a chemex lol.”
“This place has four cask ales on tap at a time!! Delicious beer (cask or otherwise), great food, friendly service. Updating to say how special this place is. They have real English toasties and pies, and jacket potatoes. We've never had a bad meal.”
“You do not want bypass this place! Fantastic food, unsurpassed service and genuine friendly atmosphere make your dining experience something that you want to repeat!!”
“Owner-operated. Paper menu. Five starters and six mains, three desserts. Hard to choose, all sounded great. We had Pork belly and Peekytoe crab cake, then Gnocchi with foraged mushrooms and pan-fried Haddock. All great, really enjoyed the gnocchi! An outstanding, knock-your-socks-off chocolate “pudding”. Excellent wine list and good, interesting wines by-the-glass. This is the real deal- an adventurous chef who loves food and local ingredients. Great, personable service!”
“A-maze-ing. Fantastic job! A couple of the chefs came out to check to see how we liked things. Friends had the pork chops. Loved them. We had scallops and eggplant meat balls. Scallops perfectly cooked, mushrooms and citrus. Eggplant meatballs fun and interesting. Citrusy undertones on a lot of the dishes including brussel sprouts. Not sure if that was the theme that night or their style. Good beer and wine selection. I would take off a 1/2 star for server not knowing much about pairings with beer or wine, but I ran into that a lot in Maine (can't ask so much from seasonal help I guess). And it took a little too long to get food going. But that's being nit-picky. Great job guys! I hope you stick around.”
“Nice place most times nice customers as in all places theirs the few undesirables but nice workers overall and convenient access to tables scrumptious crab rolls and burgers are handmade unlike other places from the freezer to the grill overall nice place”
“Amazing service, food and atmosphere everytime we go! Chips and salsa are on your table the minute you get seated, then drink order is taken!!They were actually doing open mic night tonight! If it was karaoke, my family wouldn't have let me stay ??Food is always on point and so delicious ? ?!! Two thumbs up to the cooks!! Thank you!The waitstaff is always so polite and very friendly! The girl who has waited on us each time, is so precise she doesn't even write it down and gets our order right everytime! She is amazing!!!❤️?The margaritas are obviously so tasteful too ?The live music was a bit loud(we were pretty close) but entertaining and definitely cool, and it was something different than normal, so plus points on that! It is always a very clean environment! You can tell the staff is happy to be there! Restrooms are tended to often and it shows ?✋️An enjoyable, filling, happy experience will always have us back time and time again!!! Thank you!!!!Vegetarian options: Lots of different items on the menu to chose fromDietary restrictions: They have gluten free corn tortillas ask for them with your dishKid-friendliness: Family friendly atmosphere with kids menu and crayons on tap”
“This place is amazing, a little pricey but, you pay for quality and health, the flavors and drinks here are great! I recommend the Peanut Butter Banana or the Pumpkin Cheesecake protein shakes.”
“I ordered the crab rangoons to go because I was in a hurry and it was the best decision I ever made in my life. When I say that these crab rangoons were the best thing I've ever tasted in my life I don't mean it lightly. The flavor was absolutely incredible and I couldn't stop eating them. I even drank the dip that they gave me for them when I was done. You absolutely need to eat here if you get a chance. I will definitely be making the 1 1/2 hour trip frequently to eat here.”
“Thanks Mike and Andre (and the other unnamed employees) We were in Bar Harbor for 3 nights: we ate dinner here twice and one lunch. We tried the whole fried clams: fantastic! Lobster, fried haddock, lobster, lobster stew and local beers. Super value and super fresh. All the employees were smiling and helpful. I highly recommend this place!!!!”
