“We had the best time and best food here! My sister and I and our families and my two pups all ate dinner here on August 16th, 2024. Our service was excellent and the food was SO good. My pups were greeted and given a bowl of water and enjoyed the smoked turkey off dog menu too! Solid selection of local beers and nice variety of cocktails to choose from too. I would highly recommend checking this place out. There’s also an ice cream shop right next door, if you happen to not be too stuffed after your meal!“

“It was our first day in Bar Harbor and we chose Galyn’s for dinner. It was delicious. We sat on their front porch overlooking the harbor. The food was great and our waitress was so nice; very pleasant. We had the stuffed crab mushrooms, haddock sandwiches and blueberry crisp-a la mode for dessert. Yummy.“

“July 2026. We stopped in for two cocktails and lunch. Cocktails were very good and not short on alcohol. Sat outside along sidewalk, and the view was great. Service was professional, right down to uniformed wait staff, commensurate with a five star joint. We shared the corned beef Ruben which was excellent. Shaved thin, fat attached, with an excellent horseradish mustard dressing. Excellent spiced, but not spicy, fries.“

“Ate here in September with my family. Service was fast and friendly. I got the fried fish sandwich. It was good. Nothing to spectacular about it. My husband and daughter both got the burger. For some reason, the kids meal burger was actually better than the adult burger. My husband said that his burger was a little overdone. Fries were yummy and our toddler very much enjoyed them as well. Restrooms were clean. Would recommend if you’re into fried food and looking for something other than seafood.“

“Great place to get dinner with a fantastic view of the water. My wife and I came on a Monday evening around 7pm with no reservations and had a table in about 10 minutes. Cocktails were great and we enjoyed a steak and potatoes after a long day of hiking. Would recommend to anyone traveling in Bar Harbor.“

“We've eaten at LaBella Vita many times during our stays at the Harborside. Breakfast, lunch, or dinner are consistently good. standard Italian menu well done. Pizza's, pasta, and various other dishes make this a good go-to if you're in the area. The bar is small but a nice hangout for a cocktail, and wood-fired pizza later at night. Servers are attentive, service is quick, and food is good. Worth a visit when you're in Bar Harbor next.“

We just had a drink the first night but after looking at the menu decided to return for the lobster Mac and Cheese. It was a huge portion with tons of lobster and just the right amount of goey creamy cheese, with and order of perfect crunchy slaw it was perfect for the 2 of us to share!“
