“We go here a couple times a month for dinner. They have some gluten free options, great chicken wings and a great bar though it is very small, so we have had to sit at a table a couple of times. The dining area doesn't have great ambiance but the food and service has always been terrific.“

“I have been going to Thomaston Maine Applebee's for years. I stopped going due to long wait times, and food coming out cold. I started going back a few months ago, as Applebee's has gone through a huge improvement. My waitress Loni, is fantastic always making sure our food is hot, delivered quickly and always with a smile! Amy is always walking around and asking how everything is. She is always smiling and if something was wrong, I have seen her go out of her way to fix it with other customers. I spoke with her recently about how great service and the food has been, she explained there is a new Kitchen manager that Chris has really stepped up to the plate. Chris, Loni and Amy really make the Applebee's experience a pleasure! Thank you guys for all you do!!!“

“We’ve enjoyed Franny’s for more than 8 years and our dinner last week was no exception. Our server was darling - service was gracious and smooth - and the food was wonderful. I ordered the halibut special topped w roasted peaches - a really and truly memorable meal. My companions loved every bite of their salads and steak frites. Jen and company always make dinner at Franny’s a treat and we can’t wait to go back.“

“We had dinner at Roslyn Fine Thai Cuisine on a weekday evening while on vacation. It is clearly a favorite among locals—while we were dining, many people came in whom the owners greeted by name. The restaurant is very attractive inside, the menu is extensive, and the service was very good. Everything we ordered was delicious. We would definitely return for Thai food and highly recommend it!“

“We stopped down at the harbor for a snack on a lovely Sunday afternoon. Harbor Dogs is a tiny little stand, but they do a lot more than hot dogs! After a bit of deliberation we walked away with a million tons of food. Poutine! Asian fish tacos! Chili cheese dogs! Lobster rolls! Everything was delicious and those guys at the window? Top notch chefs. Get down to this unassuming shack and get yourself some amazing lunch.“

“Absolutely wonderful experience. I felt kind of funny, going to Maine and going for Thai food. But let me tell you, this is, hands down, the best Thai I've ever had. The food was absolutely perfect, every bite! Not your normal Thai food house, this is crafted dishes by a chef who cares for the art of Thai. Our server, I never caught her name, was wonderful. Never seemed stressed or hurried, in all the good ways. Seemed genuinely into what she was providing and excited to talk about the food and drink like it matters. Top notch!!

“My review is based off of the tamales just ordered. I grew up in Panama and it was one the best treats to get fresh tamales. It didn’t happen very often- but when it did, I loved them so much. And obviously in Maine- it’s almost impossible to find them- especially authentic. I was quite impressed with Sammy’s take on tamales. Of course- they are not the exact replica of what I had- but they are very impressive. And it’s A LOT of work to make them. It’s not Taco Bell. “My wife, daughter and I visited here this past weekend, and the atmosphere of The Waterfront called to us - great views of the harbor and several good online reviews led us here. Our experience lacked a bit - the intense heat in the area led us inside, where they didn't have any AC on so it was sweltering in the corner they seated us at (but to be fair, the weather isn't their fault, and they probably usually keep the windows open to enjoy the nice cool breeze off the water, which wasn't in play that day).

Our server was friendly, but overall didn't seem much interested in us after we indicated we weren't ordering cocktails, and the time between her visits was pretty lengthy - enough to run out of water twice.

The food was really good, with one notable exception. We had the lobster roll as well as the halibut tacos, both of which were tasty and excellent. Our daughter ordered the special of the day, which was fried shrimp and scallops, and she liked her meal. She offered me a bite of one of her scallops and I discovered that they weren't, in fact, scallops. It was a breaded whitefish of some kind, likely cod, made up to look like a scallop, and while it wasn't bad, it also wasn't a truthful depiction of what was on the menu. I grew up on the Chesapeake Bay and have been eating seafood my whole life, and clearly know the difference between scallops and fish. I also know there are times when restaurants may substitute fish for scallops - in this instance I just think the restaurant should have been truthful about it.“

“My wife and I stopped in for a happy hour beer and ended up sharing a fresh, fried haddock sandwich with homemade beer batter onion rings. When we walked in we did not expect that this place would have one of the best meals we had on our trip to Maine with impeccable service from Trevor, our server. Rock Harbor Pub & Brewery is located on the main street, not on the water but was a great find and locals favorite!“

“My aunt and I went to Archer’s on Monday and splurged for lunch and totally enjoyed ourselves! The setting was gorgeous, beautiful with views of the harbor and we had the best seat in the house. The staff and were friendly and knowledgeable on the menu. We tried the peekytoe crab cakes and oyster Rockefeller for appetizers and had the lobster lunch special! That lobster was the best one I’ve ever had, perfectly steamed and very delicious. Couldn’t walk away without a slice of raspberry and blueberry pie for dessert! “This place is awesome At least once or twice a month especially in the winter my wife and I drive 1.5 hours each way the food is so good. We purposely over order so we have left overs. The staff is friendly and attentive. The decor is fabulous. We are from Boston originally and this restaurant is as good as any in the Boston area.“

“As we often do while traveling, our first mission was finding a local brewpub. Sea Dog Brewing Company turned out to be exactly what we were hoping for. Sitting right on Camden Harbor, it's the kind of place where the view competes with the food for your attention. Whether you choose the covered outdoor patio overlooking the water or the expansive dining room lined with walls of windows, there really isn't a bad seat in the house.

The restaurant was spotless, the staff genuinely welcoming, and service never felt rushed. The menu offered hearty coastal fare done right, paired with an excellent lineup of house-brewed beers. After a full day on the road, there are few better rewards than fresh food, a cold local brew, and watching boats drift across the harbor as the evening sun settles over Camden. It's exactly the kind of brewpub every coastal town hopes to have—and one we'd happily return to.
