“We go here a couple times a month for dinner. They have some gluten free options, great chicken wings and a great bar though it is very small, so we have had to sit at a table a couple of times. The dining area doesn't have great ambiance but the food and service has always been terrific.“

“I have been going to Thomaston Maine Applebee's for years. I stopped going due to long wait times, and food coming out cold. I started going back a few months ago, as Applebee's has gone through a huge improvement. My waitress Loni, is fantastic always making sure our food is hot, delivered quickly and always with a smile! Amy is always walking around and asking how everything is. She is always smiling and if something was wrong, I have seen her go out of her way to fix it with other customers. I spoke with her recently about how great service and the food has been, she explained there is a new Kitchen manager that Chris has really stepped up to the plate. Chris, Loni and Amy really make the Applebee's experience a pleasure! Thank you guys for all you do!!!“

“We honestly didn’t expect to be this impressed! We managed to snag a last-minute reservation and felt lucky just to get a table but the entire experience ended up exceeding our expectations.

One of the standout surprises was their incredible selection of non-alcoholic wines and cocktails. They even had a nonalcoholic tequila, which I absolutely loved and rarely find done this well.

We started with the shrimp dumplings, which were a fantastic way to kick off the evening fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. For mains, we ordered the Portuguese seafood pasta and the steak frites. The seafood pasta was especially memorable, beautifully seasoned and packed with flavor in every bite. The steak frites were equally satisfying and cooked just right.

From start to finish, everything felt thoughtful and well executed. We’d absolutely come back the next time we’re in town!“

“We stopped down at the harbor for a snack on a lovely Sunday afternoon. Harbor Dogs is a tiny little stand, but they do a lot more than hot dogs! After a bit of deliberation we walked away with a million tons of food. Poutine! Asian fish tacos! Chili cheese dogs! Lobster rolls! Everything was delicious and those guys at the window? Top notch chefs. Get down to this unassuming shack and get yourself some amazing lunch.“

“My review is based off of the tamales just ordered. I grew up in Panama and it was one the best treats to get fresh tamales. It didn’t happen very often- but when it did, I loved them so much. And obviously in Maine- it’s almost impossible to find them- especially authentic. I was quite impressed with Sammy’s take on tamales. Of course- they are not the exact replica of what I had- but they are very impressive. And it’s A LOT of work to make them. It’s not Taco Bell. Usually I don’t like mustard but it was perfectly balanced with the onions and pickles” 14 year old- “I like the combination and the crunch of onion and lettuce. The burger was cooked perfectly. I used exactly 7 napkins.” 10 year old- “ The best BLT on the midcoast. The most bacon I have ever seen on a BLT. If I had to judge on a 1-5 scale. “We have dined at 18 Central many times over the years. The restaurant is warm and inviting, located at Rockport Harbor. Be sure to check out the amazing view from the back with the seasonal deck! The food is incredible! Our party usually gets a variety of steaks, seafood and raw bar. Chef Patrick and his team create high quality and super tasty dishes. Jessica and her team’s offer top notch hospitality. Beautiful wine list and well executed cocktails are a plus! The restaurant is open year round (with a well-deserved) break, I believe. “Great beer options; the hazelnut one is very tasty have to tell I ordered a flight and that one is just amazing. The food was just ok.
Asked for a steam fish for my baby no butter or oil of any kind and I receive a fish swimming in oil thanks God they place the steam broccoli over a separate bowl.
Due the non great baby food received we decide to get some wing and they were ok.
The place has a nice water view and the bar seems fun I got a table dummy family time definitely will be back for the hazelnut beer“

“We had a harbor cruise scheduled and arrived early to beat the traffic. On our way to the harbor we passed this deli and looked in. Saw the baked goods and that was it. I'm pretty particular to the calories I consume, but couldn't resist the peanut butter cup brownie and coffee latte - both of which I've never had. YUM! We sat inside to watch the water for nearly an hour. After the tour and walking the town we were nearly to our car and decided to go back for a sandwich to take home for dinner. Best retracing of steps ever! The sandwich was very tasty and there was enough for a second dinner the next night.“

“My wife, daughter and I visited here this past weekend, and the atmosphere of The Waterfront called to us - great views of the harbor and several good online reviews led us here. Our experience lacked a bit - the intense heat in the area led us inside, where they didn't have any AC on so it was sweltering in the corner they seated us at (but to be fair, the weather isn't their fault, and they probably usually keep the windows open to enjoy the nice cool breeze off the water, which wasn't in play that day).

Our server was friendly, but overall didn't seem much interested in us after we indicated we weren't ordering cocktails, and the time between her visits was pretty lengthy - enough to run out of water twice.

The food was really good, with one notable exception. We had the lobster roll as well as the halibut tacos, both of which were tasty and excellent. Our daughter ordered the special of the day, which was fried shrimp and scallops, and she liked her meal. She offered me a bite of one of her scallops and I discovered that they weren't, in fact, scallops. It was a breaded whitefish of some kind, likely cod, made up to look like a scallop, and while it wasn't bad, it also wasn't a truthful depiction of what was on the menu. I grew up on the Chesapeake Bay and have been eating seafood my whole life, and clearly know the difference between scallops and fish. I also know there are times when restaurants may substitute fish for scallops - in this instance I just think the restaurant should have been truthful about it.“

When we walked in we did not expect that this place would have one of the best meals we had on our trip to Maine with impeccable service from Trevor, our server. Rock Harbor Pub & Brewery is located on the main street, not on the water but was a great find and locals favorite!“
