“We passed by this place many times. So glad we finally stopped in and sorry it wasn’t sooner. Pastry Twist is light and buttery. Cinnamon Roll is delicious. Amazing Apple Streusel Cheesecake Bombs! Gluten free scones and more. Monhegan Coffee Roasters coffee and tea served. Whole bean and teas sold for take-away. Next time, we’ll try the savory options. Definitely returning again.”

“Went in not expecting much in sleepy Thomaston ME; ended up w one of best sandwiches ever, not just in Maine but in all my travels. The chickpea wrap had perfect combination of spicy sauce and crisp vegetables in a very fresh wrap. Honestly, I was shocked to find such deliciousness in this small, unpretentious shop. Didn’t try anything else, but 100% recommend chickpea sandwich!”

“We go here a couple times a month for dinner. They have some gluten free options, great chicken wings and a great bar though it is very small, so we have had to sit at a table a couple of times. The dining area doesn't have great ambiance but the food and service has always been terrific.”

The tenders are huge, way bigger than I expected. Regardless, they are perfectly fried and very tasty all by themselves, let alone with any of the broad collection of sauces available - all of which are also good. My favorites were the Big Daddy Kane (a nod to Cane’s sauce), the Alabama white BBQ (had a vinegary taste that I was obsessed with), and their ranch (this was The Best Ranch I Have Ever Had).

Heck, even the slaw was awesome.

It would be dangerous for me if I lived closer to Honey’s. Next time I am in the area, it might be time for trying one of their sandwiches. Or, more tenders with more sauces.”

“We drove all the way to Rockland from MA after checking on google to make sure they were open & google said they were open until 4. Gave up a day at the lake & they were closed on Wednesday!!! They need to adjust their hours!!”

“My husband and I are pretty easy to please especially when I don't have to do the cooking. But we do like pasta HOT, and this lunch was not. We asked to have it zapped... it took to long; you know what a microwave does to pasta. So we decided we would leave. In comes Gen. Manager, Brad and Dist. Manager. Jamy. After apologizes, they convinced us to stay (we shared a chicken sandwich on the house, which was very good). The managers were very understanding, professional, friendly, and efficient. The day manager, Jason and waitress, Julia were also very professional and friendly. And yes, Julia received a nice tip. We'll go back, probably many times.”

“Feel free to read the full review below, but If you’re terse, the scoop is that Winona’s is quaint, exceptionally unique in its excellence, and is a must stop.

While on a waitlist at a bustling nearby establishment, my wife and I decided to take a walk. Our goal: a quick snack and beverage while we wait for our spot at the bar.

A few steps away from our original plan, we walked past Winona’s, an unassuming but inviting front, and put our eyes on the menu posted in the window. It was compact, but refreshingly uncomplicated and clear. When our attention drifted from the menu through the glass into the interior, we caught the attention of an older couple who emphatically waved us in with thumbs up and smiles. How could we not stop in..

We were greeted with nothing short of exceptional hospitality, and found a spot at one of their limited tables by the windows. We mentioned we were just in for a quick drink and snack, and the response was nothing short of miraculous. We felt we received the same service and hospitality as if we were the most important guests of the night(which I assure you, we were not).

My wife and I were traveling from Montana, and I begrudgingly consider ourselves “foodies,” but we admittedly each know our way around a kitchen and bar. She got a glass of white, and I got a beet root beer, I think “Helleflower”. Great.

We ordered what I can only remember was titled “Scallop Crudo”. As i’m writing this review from memory a month after my visit. Which, if anything, should attest to how compelled I was to write this, and how great my experience was..

The dish was fresh. The scallops sliced thin, sitting in a perfect acidic Leche De Tigre, with sweet cut apple, tobiko, and bitter greens. I likely missed a few small details..My point is that our “snack” was rich, balanced, light, filling, refreshing, and unique. My only regret? Leaving this place for a nearby establishment.

I told the proprietors they should be proud of what they built and are putting out into the word. I meant it.
