We’ve been hearing about The Uproot Pie Co. from friends over the past year, and driving by many times and decided tonight is the night. A shout-out to a special place, a special day ---- last Friday, our team at FIORE, from all locations, met in Thomaston at The Uproot Pie Co’s Carriage House. What a day! Carriage House is a delightful find with lovely and cozy vibes. The restaurant is open Thursday and Friday nights with a boutique pizza menu that is creative and delicious, baked in a beautiful brick wood oven with an amazing crust. Specific meals mentioned include a lamb morrocan pie, a peach, ricotta and prosciutto pie, pizza, salad, pistachio carrot cake, and a spiced ginger molasses cookie. The pizza is excellent and the vibe is truly special. It is also open for Sunday breakfast/lunch with bialy breakfast sandwiches with delicious cheeses.
