“This review is short and sweet. It’s a five. Go there and eat.

Ok. Don’t roll up on this place and roll your eyes and leave. That haddock sandwich is something to write about. I snagged that baguette the second the baker put it on the shelf. Still warm! The tartar sauce is scratch made and delicious. Skip the fries and get the onion rings. Slaw is yummy.

In the cooler are some fresh made sandwiches. The sandwich bread is perfection and they are made fresh. I loved the egg salad. My husband had chicken salad and said it was very good.

Grab some seafood from the market on your way out to take home.

“We have dined at 18 Central many times over the years. The restaurant is warm and inviting, located at Rockport Harbor. Be sure to check out the amazing view from the back with the seasonal deck! The food is incredible! Our party usually gets a variety of steaks, seafood and raw bar. Chef Patrick and his team create high quality and super tasty dishes. Jessica and her team’s offer top notch hospitality. Beautiful wine list and well executed cocktails are a plus! The restaurant is open year round (with a well-deserved) break, I believe. They offer generous specials so be sure to check them out.”

“On Sept 9th my wife and I had a fantastic dinner at La Bella Vita. The food was great! The brick oven bruschetta was the best! The server Gigi was second to none. He was cordial, attentive and very knowledgeable. We ate outside where the atmosphere was beautiful. A nice night, beautiful sunset and just a great time.

A couple of days earlier we had the Porcelli Trio brick oven pizza. It was fantastic and again the service was great. (I regret not remembering our servers name).

Finally, we had breakfast on site twice while at the resort. The food was good, typical breakfast foods. The buffet was available both mornings. Again, the service was very good. Dajana was our server both mornings and she was friendly, attentive and a great representative of what customer service should be.

I would highly recommend that you enjoy La Bella Vita at the Samoset Resort.”

“What an absolutely wonderful evening. We visited Suzuki Sushi last night with family, and from the moment we walked in, the atmosphere struck the perfect balance; cozy, intimate, and underscored by soft, well-chosen music that set the tone without overpowering conversation.
The meal itself was exceptional. We began with crisp, flavorful gyoza that disappeared almost instantly, followed by an array of nigiri and rolls showcasing incredibly fresh fish and thoughtful presentation. Keiko’s Favorite Roll was a standout; rich, balanced, and easily one of the best I’ve had. We paired everything with sake from Keiko’s hometown and even ventured into Japanese whisky for the first time. They were smooth, nuanced, and a real highlight.
What truly elevated the experience, however, was the service. The staff were warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming—we felt like guests rather than just another table. It turned an excellent meal into a memorable family evening.
If you’re looking for standout sushi in Midcoast Maine, this is the place. We’ll absolutely be back.”

“French influenced restaurant with a large, heated overflow tent. There Is good but abbreviated wine list. This is not a full service restaurant; table service was good. The Shrimp Dumplings are very good, just crisp on one side. The Shrimp and Grits are slightly spicy, the andouille was a little chewy. The shrimp Linguine has a lot of textures and flavors and was perfectly prepared.”

The chickpea wrap had perfect combination of spicy sauce and crisp vegetables in a very fresh wrap. Honestly, I was shocked to find such deliciousness in this small, unpretentious shop. Didn’t try anything else, but 100% recommend chickpea sandwich!”
