“Just stopped on the road to have lunch at a Mom and Pop’s bakery in Pennsylvania. I ordered the chicken pot pie. I literally paused eating the pot pie; to write this review, in the booth. Giggle. I just had this silky disappointed thought that every pot pie I order in my travels pales in comparison to Jess’s at Port Clyde Village Ice cream. Thought I should at least pause and share this silly but real disappointment. In all my travels East to West coast, West to East coast; Jess’s chicken pot pie’s are the best!Miss you Jess and your pot pies! Back to my, meh, chicken pot pie! 🙃❤️”

“Had a delicious, iced vanilla latte the other day and would highly recommend it. My wife got an iced coffee with caramel and said it was delicious. You can't beat the view/location - right on the dock with views of the harbor and boats/ships coming and going. The harbor is currently (August 2024) under construction on both sides of the building - a fire and coastal storms recently wrecked most of the port. But it will come back to life beautifully. Parking can be sparse so get there early on weekends/holidays.

Usually I don’t like mustard but it was perfectly balanced with the onions and pickles” 14 year old- “I like the combination and the crunch of onion and lettuce. The burger was cooked perfectly. I used exactly 7 napkins.” 10 year old- “ The best BLT on the midcoast. The most bacon I have ever seen on a BLT. If I had to judge on a 1-5 scale. “What an absolutely wonderful evening. We visited Suzuki Sushi last night with family, and from the moment we walked in, the atmosphere struck the perfect balance; cozy, intimate, and underscored by soft, well-chosen music that set the tone without overpowering conversation.
The meal itself was exceptional. We began with crisp, flavorful gyoza that disappeared almost instantly, followed by an array of nigiri and rolls showcasing incredibly fresh fish and thoughtful presentation. Keiko’s Favorite Roll was a standout; rich, balanced, and easily one of the best I’ve had. We paired everything with sake from Keiko’s hometown and even ventured into Japanese whisky for the first time. They were smooth, nuanced, and a real highlight.
What truly elevated the experience, however, was the service. The staff were warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming—we felt like guests rather than just another table. It turned an excellent meal into a memorable family evening.
If you’re looking for standout sushi in Midcoast Maine, this is the place. We’ll absolutely be back.”

“Great restaurant, creative menu. I had the granola and yogurt, would have been better with more yogurt since I was left with mostly dry granola to eat after finishing the small amount of yogurt. Tasty, but proportions need to be more balanced. Otherwise a nice breakfast.”

Gluten free scones and more. Monhegan Coffee Roasters coffee and tea served. Whole bean and teas sold for take-away. Next time, we’ll try the savory options. Definitely returning again.”

“We had dinner at Roslyn Fine Thai Cuisine on a weekday evening while on vacation. It is clearly a favorite among locals—while we were dining, many people came in whom the owners greeted by name. The restaurant is very attractive inside, the menu is extensive, and the service was very good. Everything we ordered was delicious. “Went in not expecting much in sleepy Thomaston ME; ended up w one of best sandwiches ever, not just in Maine but in all my travels. The chickpea wrap had perfect combination of spicy sauce and crisp vegetables in a very fresh wrap. Honestly, I was shocked to find such deliciousness in this small, unpretentious shop. Didn’t try anything else, but 100% recommend chickpea sandwich!”
