“My husband and I visited State Lunch recently and our experience was incredible… literally a perfect night out for us. The atmosphere is great, the bar is gorgeous! We started off with drinks, tried several margaritas, all delicious! Everything we ordered for dinner was cooked to perfection, the food options were unique and all amazing! … the waitstaff was very friendly and the owner makes himself a familiar face.. he makes it a point to stop by to say hello and make sure you’re enjoying yourselves… can’t wait to get back there! “Planned a wedding rehearsal dinner with them while out of state. Such a great experience working with them! They were very responsive with just the right amount of suggestion/recommendations to make it easy to plan. And the food far exceeded expectations! With multiple guests raving about the pesto chicken, mashed potatoes and Korean beef. And their grilled oysters!?!…the Texans who’d never tried oysters loved them! Really appreciate you guys and highly recommend.“

“It had been years since we were last here as we live in southern New England. It was just as we remember. It's a diner and the food is honest. I saw that they had a haddock soup as well as a meatloaf sandwich available but, i was set on corned beef hash, poached egg and rye toast. We also had the BLT. No complaints, very happy with everything. We even grabbed two molasses donuts to go.

They do not make the donuts themselves. The donuts were good but, I would suggest just a little more cinnamon and nutmeg. If their local donut makes see this. Just one person's opinion.

“We celebrated my daughter’s 18th birthday here twice (due to a scheduling error on our part), on Friday the 13th and Saturday the 14th. Friday we had 12 people and Saturday we had 9. We had hibachi both times. We were seated quickly, and from then on the service was fast and friendly. The hibachi chef was fun and entertaining both times and the food was delicious both times. They even gave my daughter a balloon birthday crown and some free fried ice cream! Big thanks to the folks at Kume for helping make my daughter’s birthday memorable (twice)!!“

“Been a fan for 25+ years and only get a chance to eat there once a year due to living in northern Maine. Always pleasant staff but for some reason today when I asked my wife to stop in and grab me a Big Dave she also got herself an Italian. After paying she saw the Italian special to add a bag of chips and a soda and asked if she could pay the extra and get that and was told no because she had lettuce on her sandwich and that lettuce disqualified the lunch special. Sad that lettuce disqualifies a special but was told no other veggies disqualified it??? Sounds more like someone didn’t want to be bothered and was willing to pay the difference… just .59 cents. Got to do better“

“We do not recommend dinning in here as in our experience the service is far from good.. however the food was great! We will definitely order take out in the future but will not be returning to dine in. The server didn’t understand what my husband ordered (even though it was a beef enchilada) so he just put it in as a taco salad. So by the time he recieved the correct meal the rest of our party had already finished eating. The server didn’t ask if anyone would like a refill or another cocktail.“

“Amazing food and service. I go here often for date night with my partner. Quick service, and I only had to wait for a table once out of all my visits. It's a calmer atmosphere but not dead silent. All the waiters and waitresses are nice and quick to bring out food. The steak is definitely the best part!“

“We ate here for the first time after receiving a gift certificate that my wife won for a school booster raffle. The food came as ordered and tasted pretty good for all the previous reviews that I had read. The restaurant area was alot bigger then I expected and really clean. You can tell they go the extra mile to support the local community by all the kids artwork on the walls.“
