We celebrated my daughter’s 18th birthday here twice (due to a scheduling error on our part), on Friday the 13th and Saturday the 14th. Friday we had 12 people and Saturday we had 9. We had hibachi both times. We were seated quickly, and from then on the service was fast and friendly. The hibachi chef was fun and entertaining both times and the food was delicious both times. Food is always great but the service is lacking. Its not that they are slow, but the wait staff acks like they are always mad or upset.

Kume | Sushi • Japanese is a restaurant where the food and service are excellent. The chef is meticulous with slices, offering sushi the way it's supposed to be with perfect slices. One guest ordered the sushi combo with tuna salmon white tuna and red snapper, while another got the chefs sushi special called happy, describing it as the perfect balance of flavor and presentation. For hibachi, it is a great clean spot with entertainment, sake, and food flying. The hibachi chef is fun and entertaining, and the food is delicious. The Kune for 2 was noted, though the calamari was skimpy. Well trained and friendly employees provide consistently delightful food. The atmosphere can be a bit loud, and there may be a wait for a second drink, but overall it is a great experience for a small group of friends. A birthday celebration included a balloon birthday crown and free fried ice cream. Note that many negative reviews are mistakenly for a nail salon, not the restaurant.
