The Oak Table & Bar Reviews
This is the best spot in all of Augusta. Food is phenomenal.
Planned a wedding rehearsal dinner with them while out of state. Such a great experience working with them! They were very responsive with just the right amount of suggestion/recommendations to make it easy to plan. And the food far exceeded expectations! With multiple guests raving about the pesto chicken, mashed potatoes and Korean beef. And their grilled oysters!?!…the Texans who’d never tried oysters loved them! Really appreciate you guys and highly recommend.
It’s not often that you find a casual, fine dining restaurant with top-tier food and good prices.
I can not say enough good things about this place. Food is on point. The menu is always changing, based on what is fresh that day. It’s such a good deal for such high-quality food.
My new favorite restaurant! Five courses for $79, I absolutely love it.
What I really like about this place is the level of consistent quality dishes.

The Oak Table & Bar is a restaurant that offers a hidden gem-like experience, featuring delicious cocktails and food that is truly out of this world. The menu includes options such as oysters, seared mushrooms, steak, and fettuccine. Guests can enjoy a four-course meal that is thoughtfully prepared and changes regularly to highlight local, in-season foods. The chef's table is a must-see, where diners are seated around a small kitchen and can choose from three options for each of four courses, all made to order by Chef Dan. The view out the windows overlooks the river, adding to the dining experience, and trivia cards on the counter make for extra fun in the dinner conversation. The atmosphere is stylish yet relaxed, making it suitable for a night out or a special occasion, though it may feel a bit informal for some special events. While the decor could use some updates, the cozy and comfortable setting adds to the overall appeal. The restaurant has been recognized as a fantastic find in central Maine dining, and although it may not always be busy, patronage is encouraged. The food is fresh, tasty, and well-portioned, with some dishes being absolutely amazing, thanks to Chef Eli and Chef Dan. The craft cocktails are a flavor experience on their own and complement the food beautifully. Service is attentive, and the chef's skill and pleasant demeanor enhance the overall dining experience. Overall, The Oak Table & Bar is a recommended destination for those seeking a refined and memorable experience in Augusta.
