“What an enjoyable experience. Nice fire to sit by and beautiful flower gardens. Exceptional food, atmosphere, and service. We had the Harvest Pizza, covered in fresh vegetables which was one of the best pizzas. This is recommended to us by our friends and the TripAdvisor rated high as well. The food is great, the staff friendly and the setting very relaxed. We will be back.“

“Side Street Café is our favorite place to eat in Bar Harbor. This cafe has really great vibes and the service staff is always attentive and friendly. Their cocktails and mocktails are all superb and the "Born to Rum" cocktail is easily the best rum cocktail I've ever had. My wife and I really appreciate that Side Street Café offers a number of vegetarian and vegan options. These can be hard to come by at other restaurants in the area, but the veggie options here are to-die-for! We always get the Brussel sprouts starter. The maple bourbon glaze is the perfect balance of savory and sweet. We've had the hummus platter a few times and love it as a healthy starter before the meal. My recent go-to has been the Lean Machine veggie burger with a side of the house fries. The fries have a delicious salty seasoning and the burger features a delicious earthy flavor that balances well with the sweet spice of the mustard and the creaminess of the avocado. My wife loves the Emilia wrap. The hummus and basil pesto blend nicely with the fresh vegetables which also contribute to a very aesthetic, colorful meal. Whether you're sitting inside or out on the patio, the Side Street Café is the perfect way to celebrate a successful hike, bike ride, or cap off a day of shopping. If you haven't been to this Bar Harbor staple, you need to add it to your list.“

“Hello there! We discovered your brand at the Maine Culinary Festival in Augusta last month and we LOVE your coffee! We were very loyal customers of another local coffee brand in our area for years, but after trying your products we switched to Coffee Hound coffee. Thank you for making such a delicious product right here in Maine! Keep up the good work! Sincerely, Leah &Todd M. Phillips, Maine“

“Great local beer selection. The service and atmosphere of this place was great. Newly remodeled, A/C helps offset summer humidity. The only thing I wish to rail against is 12 oz beer serving. I understand the high tourist priced beer, but can't stand not being served pints, or at least the U.S. 16oz version.“

“The "rice bowl," which doesn't _sound_ like much, is amazing -- four varieties of pickled/spiced veggies, jasmine rice, an egg, and a generous serving of pork, chicken, or tofu (I've tried the pork and tofu). I've had eggs benedict that was tops too, also the baked goods. Everything is done with a fresh creative edge. You're truly in good hands with this place.“

“Owner-operated. Paper menu. Five starters and six mains, three desserts. Hard to choose, all sounded great. We had Pork belly and Peekytoe crab cake, then Gnocchi with foraged mushrooms and pan-fried Haddock. All great, really enjoyed the gnocchi! An outstanding, knock-your-socks-off chocolate “pudding”. Excellent wine list and good, interesting wines by-the-glass. This is the real deal- an adventurous chef who loves food and local ingredients. Great, personable service!“

“After a long day in Acadia we found ourselves heading back to our Airbnb in Tremont. We were not wanting the crowded streets of Bar Harbor. It also seemed that many places had closed for the season in spite of the crowds and the fact that it was only Oct. 13. We came in at 6:45 knowing that they closed at 7pm. They graciously fixed us a fabulous pizza to go. They were even taking orders after ours. Our pizza was a delicious brick oven pizza, not just a quick stop slice. The staff was very kind and didn't make us feel bad for dropping in at the last minute. Top notch service and food! I will definitely go out of my way to return next time we are in the area. Hands down this was one of the best meals we had on our 10 day journey along the coast!“

Lobster Roll

“We had the best lobster rolls in Maine! Coffee was really good too but the hospitality was the best. We visited the island in late September but were under the impression there would be a golf cart shuttle on the island. Found out it was not operating due to no volunteer, so we walked up the hill and quite a way to the cafe. There is not much to do on this island other than lunch, a small museum, tiny gift shop and a trail to the water. Cezar was so accommodating that he took us on a little tour in his van and delivered us back to the dock to get on the ferry. He felt bad we spent so much to come to the island and were not told what to expect. We appreciated him fixing us a delicious lunch AND giving us his time for an island tour!“
