“As a foodie this is one of our favorite restaurants in the area, enough so that we have celebrated special occasions such as my birthday last year here.

We would come even more if there were more vegan protein options on the regular menu such as a vegan meatball dish instead of or in addition to the regular meatballs and/or some kind of vegan protein special on the regular such as the amazing tofu dish we had once.

Providing some kind of vegan dessert that isn't just a water based sorbet would also take things up a notch since none of the desserts are currently vegan/gf.

“You must eat here! The atmosphere is lovely and laid back. The drinks (and mocktails) are wonderful. The food... the food is fantastic! You can't go wrong with the apps, but the Dilly Pickled Veg is the perfect little zippy snack while you wait for your dinner. The entire dinner menu is truly inspired. The bang bang fried chicken is always a personal go to... but I opted for the Crab BLT tonight and was blown away! My hubby had the Lamb Shwarma and practically licked his plate... the pita alone was a light, fluffy delight. If you order the fries, which you most certainly should, get the garlic aioli... you'll thank me later, it's also good with the lamb. ;)“

“My wife’s birthday was almost ruined due to other restaurants failing to deliver the lobster Benedict and mimosa as promised. The staff is above and beyond friendly and customer service out of this world. The freshest lobster Benedict we have ever had . You must give them a try if you come to visit .“

“I really enjoyed this place. Ordered crepes twice(egg and cheese) , one time they did get my order wrong but honest the crepe was still good anyways. It was a bit of a wait (not their fault it was a weekend they were busy) to get which is why I didn’t bother bringing it back. Eating out on the dock was very nice. The side salad that came with my crepes was excellent. I did minus a star because my husband didn’t care for his egg sandwhich but he did like his blueberry crepe he had the prior day. Would recommend.“

“my friends and i came here after the fireworks on the fourth!! biggg yum and i am so happy that we did. we decided to get four appetizers: spicy cheese curds, nachos, 1/2 dozen sweet chili thai wings, and lobster creme waffle fries. all of us tried the mdi blueberry drink as well (might’ve misquoted the drink name lol sorry). we HOUSED all of the food big yum!“

“Owner-operated. Paper menu. Five starters and six mains, three desserts. Hard to choose, all sounded great. We had Pork belly and Peekytoe crab cake, then Gnocchi with foraged mushrooms and pan-fried Haddock. All great, really enjoyed the gnocchi! An outstanding, knock-your-socks-off chocolate “pudding”. Excellent wine list and good, interesting wines by-the-glass. This is the real deal- an adventurous chef who loves food and local ingredients. Great, personable service!“

Quality foods similar to Whole Foods such as pasta, red sauce, crackers, noodles, and freshly made salads. To-go black bean salad available in the fridge area. Tasty ginger and chocolate chip cookies. Good availability of sparkling waters like Splindrift.“

“Blown away. We are spending a month in Bass Harbor and I was giddy when I found this place. I spoke with the owner who was as pleasant and knowledgeable as can be. THE Sandwich is probably the best egg sandwich I’ve ever had. So thankful they are here for the down season.“
