For Oct. 11- Fish House Grill is a fun place to go see “the Bar Harbor show” and enjoy some fresh seafood eats while you’re at it. We had a grand time people and activity watching from our seaside perch. We went with the FHG Fish Tacos and Haddock Sandwich which were both tasty and very good. The Bar Island Ice Teas we had went down nicely. Very much recommended.

This year was my first time there. It was the worst meal I ever had. I went on oct 19. I was not told that the restaurant was closing the next day. I had gotten the flounder which was so salty you could hardly eat it. I told the waitress and she said she would mention it to the cook. Then I thought we could salvage the day an ordered dessert. I was told they only had one piece of blueberry and one piece of chocolate Left. That's when we were told the restaurant was closing the next day. $140.00 later. This was my first time in bar harbor......what a memory.

Love this place !!! Got the lobster bake Comes with a huge delicious whole lobster plus clams mussels and clam chowder So far best lobster I've had in Maine!!! Ana was a terrific server. Hubby got the lobster roll and.loved it Said best so far. Highly recommend this amazing.place

The fish house was a solid lunch option for my wife and I. We started off with the calamari. I had a full rack of ribs with red potatoes and corn on the cob. My wife had the crab roll. Overall, the ribs beat my expectations for an ocean town. The corn was the only disappointment but its corn so... we ended lunch with the blueberry pie which was the best id ever had. I cant stress how good it was. Hint do not get cream or ice cream on it.

I had the fried haddock, which was fresh and tasted wonderful. The cheesesteak was also well prepared and very flavorful. the wife had the chicken parmesan which was a big flavorful dish, of course I took most of it home for myself. the view was great as your right next to the water. great place to visit. the hand made mozzarella sticks were better than I had in a while.
My fiancé and I stopped here for a celebratory drink right after he proposed. We asked to sit outside and were initially told no, even though there were plenty of empty tables. After explaining we’d just gotten engaged and would only be there for 20 minutes, they reluctantly agreed but were quite rude about it.
As we sat down with our drinks, the server literally threw the menus at us. We explained again that we were celebrating our engagement. A few minutes later, the manager approached us and said no one gave us permission to sit there and that they didn’t care about our celebration.
The restaurant was nearly empty, so their treatment was completely unjustified. There are plenty of other restaurants in Bar Harbor that appreciate their customers. Spend your money elsewhere.
