First impression was terrible, looking for a nice meal on the water and being greeted by a woman who looked genuinely offended at our presence; AirPod in no smile and seemed completely disinterested in her job. The food was decent but the price was definitely above average. The shrimp were chewy and flavorless, the haddock and flounder however were highlights of the meal.
We decided to go here on a whim. We had just finished our sail at Bar Harbor Whale Company. We both ordered the Fish Sandwich - one grilled, one blackened. We both loved our fish sandwiches, probably one of the better meals we had in Bar Harbor!
When you're with a big group and a toddler in Bar Harbor, finding a spot with no wait is a huge win, and that's exactly why we chose Fish House Grill. With a 40-minute wait at another spot, we were happy to be seated right away. We were a party of seven, and most of us ordered lobster and seafood dishes.
