This time of year lots of places close for the season so we ended up here by default. Service was what I’d call Hit and Run. Water, orders placed and orders delivered but the rest of the time she was talking to friends? Other servers checked on tables around us multiple times, walking around our chatty server to get to their tables, while we shared water because we’d almost run out. Hubs got fried calamari which was delicious and perfectly cooked with sweet chili sauce over blanched cabbage and carrots. He got fish and chips which was massive battered and fried haddock filet but much different and heavier than normal fish n chips. Fries were generic, grocery store and mostly uneaten lackluster. I got the Lobster bake which at $49 was actually a good deal. Small cup of clam chowder (the least liked of all I’ve tried this foody trip), large very fresh and sweet corn on cob and a small lobster. Lobster was, as expected, sweet and tender. Blueberry pie was also included. The blueberry filling was wonderful but the crust was inedible. More thick play doh consistency than flaky crust. We ate the blueberries and left the crust. Very interesting “decor”(think beach finds gone wild to the max). Probably would not go back.
We really enjoyed our dinner here. We had a sampler dish - a small lobster role, clam chowder, and a blueberry pastry of some sort. The clam chowder was surprisingly the highlight! Lobster roll was well done but not mindblowing. but that clam chowder? the best i’ve ever eaten by a long shot.
The best best lobster roll I have ever had. And with great service! Great cocktails and beer! Could not have been happier.
Geddy’s delivered an outstanding dining experience. The service was excellent—friendly, attentive, and welcoming from start to finish. The atmosphere had that classic Maine seafood saloon feel, cozy yet lively, perfect for a coastal evening out. The food was the highlight. We ordered a seafood pasta dish that was absolutely incredible—loaded with fresh, perfectly cooked seafood and bursting with flavor. The clam chowder was off the charts and we finished the evening with an amazing Blueberry Pie which was still sizzling out of the oven. Every bite reminded us why Bar Harbor is known for its great restaurants. A great spot for anyone looking for delicious coastal fare, warm service, and a relaxed, authentic Maine setting. Highly recommend!
Great visit! The staff and environment was great. We have a young son with some severe allergies that were navigated happily. Definitely recommend a stop!
We stopped here a late lunch while visiting Bar Harbor, based on the displayed menu. It is right in downtown. We were promptly seated (it is bigger than it looks from the outside). Our waitress was excellent - friendly, very prompt, helpful. My wife had the taco salad which was huge and which she really enjoyed. I had the wood-fired fennel and stout glazed pizza. It was very good, and plenty large. I think they might have gone a bit heavy on the glaze as it softened the crust a bit. We had plenty of food for the price and loved the service. We'd gladly go back if we were in the area.
Didn't have a reservation and waited almost 2 hours for a table at dinnertime. Husband got the lobster roll and I ordered the taco salad. Husband liked the lobster roll he ate the night before at a different restaurant (lobster wasn't as chewy) and my taco salad had a hunk of meat stuck together that I can only imagine was microwaved. For the money and the wait, it's not worth it.
We ended up going to Geddy’s twice during our stay, once for dinner and the other for lunch. Reservations were definitely needed for dinner when we were there during the last week of September. Our dinner was a bit of a mix. My husband got the Lobster Stew and Ahi Tuna Tacos and I got the clam chowder and the Maine style Lobster Roll. My husband really enjoyed his meal. The stew was very tasty. My chowder was a little flat on flavor and the lobster roll was just ok. The standout of this meal was the Blueberry Pie - warmed with whipped cream. We both absolutely loved the pie! We returned to Geddy’s on our last day for lunch because their pizza looked good when we were there earlier in the week. It did not disappoint! We got Wild Maine Blueberry Ale (Orono Brewing Company) and the Lobster Pizza (minus the bacon). Both were excellent. It’s a brick oven style pizza. The crust was thin and crispy. This was one of our favorite things we ate this week. We ended the meal with the Blueberry Pie. It’s a very fun atmosphere at Geddy’s. Though it might be a little “touristy”, I still think it’s worth the visit. It’s lively and upbeat! We would definitely visit again for the Lobster Pizza and Blueberry Pie!
We were drawn in to this place by the hype online. But after our trip, there were so many other places that were better. We had a reservation for 8 pm. Arrived early so we sat at the bar to grab two drinks. It wasn’t even completely full. Took 25 minutes to get drinks. Asked for water and never got it. Made the mistake of just ordering food there instead of waiting for our table. The bartender waiting on us was friendly but terrible with service. I did appreciate the gluten free options on the menu. We Felt the lobster rolls were sub par, And for the crazy price they charge you can definitely find better ones in other places in town. Same with fish and chips. We did enjoy our drinks which a second bartender ended up getting for us. But we decided to skip dessert because of the overall bad service.
It was extremely busy this Saturday night, but we were seated in about 10 minutes with a reservation. If you’re looking for a quiet meal this is not the place. The joint was jumpin’. Our waiter Tim was great. Although he was very busy, he managed to serve us with minimal waiting for drinks, meals, and dessert. We both had the teriyaki salmon with stir fry vegetables and jasmine rice. I would highly recommend that dish. I ate it all! The blueberry pie was delicious too. All things considering I feel it was reasonably priced as well.

I have a severe dairy allergy and they were extremely accommodating! Great food, great atmosphere, wonderful staff.
Lobster roll was good, but could've used a little more butter. Perhaps, a minor detail, but when every place in town offers lobster rolls you need to make yours outstanding. Excellent service and a lively atmosphere. We would go back.
Our B & B recommended this restaurant so we went for dinner one night. They were busy, but we had a reservation. My husband had the lobster bake and I had a tuna bowl. Both were tasty and the local beer selection was also good. Server was friendly and prompt. No complaints.
Did not have reservations but they told us if we could be quick then they would sit us. Not exactly what I had in mind but he had a table. Food is pricey. First attempt at a lobster roll and I was not impressed meat was tough. Drinks were not very strong for the price.
Service was a little on the slow side but it was also very busy. We both got the lobster special that came with corn on the cob, clam chowder and blueberry pie. Food was delicious and atmosphere was fun!
