Just great all around. Our server was excellent (Erin?), and the food was quite literally perfect. I recommend the biscuit with gravy, and the coffee was good too. Big fan of no phones and the comfortable diner atmosphere. Awesome start to our morning.
Great breakfast. 👍
They said the wait would be 45 minutes it took an hour and a half then I ordered crispy bacon it was hardly cooked then they brought new ones still not crispy it toile forever for the breakfast to come and then they brought new waiter had an attitude.
They recommend no cell phones but do not inforce. Was nice seeing people talking to each other instead of their noses stuck in their cell phone.
This place really lives up to the name - Jeannie’s Great Maine Breakfast is exactly that. We ended up eating here two days in a row because it was so good.
The staff is friendly, the restaurant is clean, and everything we ordered was fresh and delicious. The Garden Omelet (photo included) was packed with veggies and perfectly cooked, and the blueberry pancake was light and fluffy. Even something as simple as a single scrambled egg and coffee was done just right. The rhubarb sauce on my toast (see photo) is a nice in-house touch, and each table has this option.
It’s a welcoming, relaxed spot that clearly takes pride in what they do. Highly recommend stopping here if you’re in Bar Harbor and want a solid breakfast to start your day.
Everything was extremely delicious!!
Kind of felt like Minority and tourist trap. No decent food. But a lot of decent vocabulary used for the menu. Nothing in the menu lives up to the expectation. Service was great really friendly.
The blueberry pancakes were amazing!
They had multiple vegan options on their menu. I had the vegan breakfast burrito and my partner had the Island Tofu Scramble. Both were great! I’d love to go back and try the waffles. They also have almond milk available. Updated from previous review on 2025-06-17
Had breakfast here twice in a four day stay. Jeannie's has a separate vegan breakfast menu section. Started with great coffee in a pitcher you can self-pour when you want more. Highly recommend the Island Tofu Scramble, Vegan Apple Spice Pancakes, and Vegan Pancakes with berries. Service was wonderful as well.

Cute place, but we got half our order, waited another 20 minutes got the second half. That second half, was the roast beef which was lukewarm, potatoes undercooked, and egg overcooked. Maybe it was just a one off, but I wouldn't go back.

I ordered the “Maine Breakfast” and it did not disappoint. Ham, bacon and sausages, 3 eggs and potatoes and then a separate plate with a large pancake and a bowl of beans. Good God so much good food. Why aren’t Mainers fat? Because they go and hike Acadia National Park! I loved the atmosphere at Jeannie’s and the service and prices were great. They had a strawberry and rhubarb jam on the table that’s sublime. I highly recommend Jeannie’s Great Maine Breakfast but make sure you have a big hike planned after consuming all those calories.
