Stopped for dinner. Service was excellent. We didn’t know the difference among the variety of lobster rolls and the lady was patient to explain it all. Clam chowder was absolutely amazing. We ended up with the best lobster roll we had while here in Bar Harbor. Will certainly return here.

I my opinion, this is the best restaurant in Bar Harbor. The lobster bisque is exceptional! You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. Was here 3 years ago and back again yesterday! Perfect Maine!

We loved our lobster lunch…the most flavorful of our 4 lobster meals on the Island! The two ladies who served us were truly “happy clams” and we were too! We’ll definitely be back next year.
Best sized roll we had on the island. Really good quality. Blueberry pie was fantastic. We definitely want to come back next time we are in town. Also, my husband LOVED your coleslaw.

Busy spot and we wanted to eat here because it was so cute! There was a line to order food but we were willing to wait. The menu was very limited and didn't offer many options. We ended up going down the street to eat instead.

We were camping nearby with our RV and stumbled upon the Happy Clam Shack — what a find! On our first day, we picked up fresh lobsters that were absolutely amazing. We were so impressed that we kept coming back day after day to try more: clams, lobster bisque, clam chowder, and of course, their delicious lobster rolls.
One day, they were closed, so we tried lobster rolls a few miles up the road — they were noticeably smaller and just didn’t compare. The Happy Clam Shack truly stands out. This little spot serves the best, freshest seafood with generous portions and great flavor. A true gem! Can’t wait to come back.

I always have lobster rolls with my mom everywhere so I have to say those are the best, but she wasn’t with me this day 😊 It was Perfect!! 🦞 Do not pass this place on the way to Bar Harbor. Stop, and if you’re lucky you will meet the owner like I did. Gracious and down to earth. Also, I tasted the cold slaw which I could usually do without, it was out of this world.
