I have nothing bad to say about this place. We took our parents here to celebrate me and my husbands wedding and the staff wrote a card and brought out a special dessert for us. From the extensive wine list, to their specially handcrafted cocktails, everything was so delicious. Now the food. The food was outstanding! The flavors and presentations were amazing and the portions were perfect! If you have a special occasion or just want to eat some finer Cuban food, you MUST visit here. We will be back!
Waiter Harley was exceptional. Right mix of humor and attentiveness. Great wine selection.
Wonderful dinner and experience! Terrific atmosphere, outstanding paella, and lovely people who clearly love their job!

Lovely experience and service. Ambience is dark, but food , American twist to Latin food. Scrupmtous dessert options as well.

One of the top three meals we've ever enjoyed out! Our drinks (caipirinha and Havana martini; pictured) were exquisitely balanced, and we enjoyed sharing a savory, tasty tostada. We both opted for seafood paella, and it was — hands down — the best we've ever eaten (including one we recently shared in Barcelaona, Spain)! Every bite was scrumptious and delightful, and our whole meal was served up with friendly smiles and courtesy. We're already planning our next (fourth) trip to Havana in Bar Harbor!

We came up from Atlanta, GA for a long weekend near the tail end of the 2025 season and were determined to try the best Bar Harbor has to offer. Havana is, without question, the best dining experience we got to experience. The service, ambiance, wine selection, and food was a 10/10. The steak was cooked perfectly and the lobster dish my gf ordered was delicious. We will be coming back!!!

Our absolute favorite meal on our trip. I will literally be thinking about the tostada for the rest of my life— SO good. The lobster was so fresh and the steak was amazing. The staff was very kind and attentive. Yes, it’s pricey, but to us it was worth every single penny!!

Disappointed. I hope it was just off because we were there on a Sunday evening, 8:30PM, just not sure. Molly our server was amazing so service is a 5/5. Our salad was plated wonderfully and tasted so good so 5/5 for this. Bartender did a great job on my cocktail 5/5. Our main entree was some sort of steak dish, definitely a different chef plated it compared to the salad, because it was plated terribly and was tough and stringy steak. Recommend not sitting in the room with the double kitchen doors swinging all the time unless you're just there for a cocktail. We were moved to a better room in back which I recommend for couples wanting to enjoy each other. This looks to be a charming place and I hope it does well. I'm just assuming something was off that night.

Food was excellent and I was have a lot of food allergies and they worked so well with them! Sam was our waiter and he was wonderful as well! A local had recommended this to us and we were so impressed with everything!
This was our least favorite restaurant experience during our 4 days in Bar Harbor. We were excited to see rabbit paella on the menu but it was a great disappointment when delivered to the table. It had around seven small slivers of rabbit and a few half slices of zucchini served on top of a thin bed of rice in what tasted like a tomato sauce. We'd had other exceptional meals in Bar Harbor so in comparison Havana failed to deliver an enjoyable memorable meal. We would not recommend Havana or return during our next trip to this area of Maine.

We recently celebrated our anniversary here, and Havana made us feel so special. They left a handwritten card on our table wishing us a happy anniversary, and even gave us free truffles for dessert. The atmosphere was so cozy with the lighting and guitar player at the entrance of the restaurant. We ordered the pork belly and brisket tostada to start - the tostada really stared here, while the pork belly was underwhelming. We split the paella for dinner and it was amazing! I recommend visiting Havana if you’re looking for an elevated meal in the Bar Harbor area.

This restaurant had a very creative menu and every dish was delicious. The farm salad, lobster entree and halibut entree were insanely delicious with complex flavors. Our drinks, a mojito and French 75, were the best we've ever had. Christina, our waitress, was warm, attentive and gave exceptional advice. We would go back in a heartbeat!!
Good potential. Poor management and execution. This restaurant requires a deposit for a reservation then proceeds to sit walk-ins before our reservation seating us late. Not acceptable. If you require money for reservation, you need to honor it. Food had very good flavor, arrived cold. Major disappointment. The door to the addition in the back does not have a closer. Both patrons and servers walk in and out leaving door open. When it is in the 30's outside this is just cold when sitting near the door. I had to get up 5-6 times to close the damn door. Back room has no softening surfaces - very loud, not "energetic" as the previous options for noise would suggest. Loud is not energetic, it is unpleasant.
We went for our anniversary and they had a card waiting on the table. Extensive wine list is overwhelming and the Sommelier was very helpful in directing us to the perfect selection. Service was exceptional and everyone was very friendly and attentive. They even brought out a special dessert. This is our second time at Havana and will definitely be back again.
Delicious dinner at Havana!
