Service was excellent, waiters were nice and friendly. Food was very mid, meat had too many herbs, salad was very sour and chicken in it was too peppery.
Additionally, even though the restaurant wasn't full at all we had to wait for about 30 minutes before we got our food. Portions were small, especially for the price.
Talking about the atmosphere and vibe - to me it was slightly too dark. For some it would seem romantic, to me, I almost fell asleep. Overall, I would not come here again.

I was looking for dinner on a busy Saturday evening in October. Most of the restaurants on the main road looked packed and had long waits. This place is tucked away on a side road, and still had a little crowd, but I walked right in and got a table around 5:45pm; it was full by the time I left though. They had a decent menu with some local seafood options. I went with the spicy dijon mussels and root vegetable salad (no entree), and I was very happy with both. Both had good portions. The salad was refreshing and not boring at all. The mussels were swimming in some delicious juices (and came with plenty good bread to soak it up), and they were defintely fresher than the mussels I'm accustomed to getting in the midwest. They have a bar and good variety on the drink menu if that interests you. There's plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. I got pretty good service.. no complaints! I'd be happy to come back!

We had a fantastic dinner at Lompoc Café! As vegetarians, we were thrilled with the options. The food was all freshly prepared and delicious, and the service was perfectly efficient and prompt. A clean and inviting place to eat in Bar Harbor—we're already planning our next visit!

This was our first meal in Bar Harbor and it set the tone for a great trip!

The seating area was cozy, intimate, and relaxed and the staff was friendly. We shared the Chicken Pot Pie and the Mac and Cheese. Both were delicious- nothing new or crazy but the great executions of these classic dishes!! The crust on the pot pie was flaky and buttery and the white cheddar mac and cheese shells were topped with perfectly toasted bread crumbs.

My partner enjoyed one of their seasonal cocktails while I had one of their Italian red wine selections.

We enjoyed the fact that it didn’t feel touristy or gimmicky, and it was one of our favorite meals the whole trip. Will definitely be recommending to any friends or family traveling out to MDI!

PROS:
1. Abby! My goodness did she make our long drive all the way from NJ finish with a happy ending. Not only did she constantly check that our waters were full and get us extra freshly made bread for the best mussels we’ve ever had. But she hand wrote a list of all the best kept secrets of the locals (best pizza, lobster rolls, hikes, etc.) I wish every experience at restaurants were like this!

2. Mussels, scallops, roasted root salad. Amazing. Especially the mussels.

3. Every dish was thoughtful - that’s the best word to describe it.

4. Fresh beautiful flowers on each table. Perfect for a date.

CONS:
Absolutely none!

Thank you so much for one of the best national park dinners we’ve ever had!

Mussels and Brussels are suggested! Beautiful outdoor garden seating area creates an ambience of feeling separated from the extremely busy Bar Harbor area. Great operating hours for those late ANP adventures.

The waiter was great, I got the fried chicken sandwich which was perfect. The mussels app was really great, I’d never had mussels in a mustard sauce which I loved. The Brussels sprouts were solid and the crab blt was very good.

Amazing spot in Bar Harbor. Creative dishes with great service. The wine list was also very creative and funky. We usually try to take pictures of food, like the food millennials we are, but the food was so good it slipped out mind!

Pleasantly surprised by how good the food was! Also really enjoyed sitting out in the garden patio. Highly recommend - and very reasonably priced compared to other nearby restaurants without sacrificing quality.
