I was looking for dinner on a busy Saturday evening in October. Most of the restaurants on the main road looked packed and had long waits. This place is tucked away on a side road, and still had a little crowd, but I walked right in and got a table around 5:45pm; it was full by the time I left though. They had a decent menu with some local seafood options. I went with the spicy dijon mussels and root vegetable salad (no entree), and I was very happy with both. Both had good portions....

We had a fantastic dinner at Lompoc Café! As vegetarians, we were thrilled with the options. The food was all freshly prepared and delicious, and the service was perfectly efficient and prompt. A clean and inviting place to eat in Bar Harbor—we're already planning our next visit!

This was our first meal in Bar Harbor and it set the tone for a great trip!

The seating area was cozy, intimate, and relaxed and the staff was friendly. We shared the Chicken Pot Pie and the Mac and Cheese. Both were delicious- nothing new or crazy but the great executions of these classic dishes!! The crust on the pot pie was flaky and buttery and the white cheddar mac and cheese shells were topped with perfectly toasted bread crumbs.
